6 hour mix of ArenA Classics (Palladium NYC 1996-97) mixed in 2012 by me, dj joN prYde including a custom intro paying tribute to the maestro himself Junior Vasquez!  The crowd you hear in the intro is taken from video footage of the last night at Arena!  For those who were fortunate enough to experience those legendary nights, I know it's impossible to duplicate the magic that went on in that place. Razor N Guido have always been an inspiration to me, and their records made me want to become a better producer. They were the Kings of the New York Hard House sound at the turn of the Millennium, but their musical talents went far beyond that, both collectively and individually.

I met Guido in 1999, already a fan of his and his partner Razor. Guido was more incredibly warm and genuine than I would have ever imagined, especially for someone that was creating such aggressive music. He instantly welcomed me into the New York "crew" and introduced me to everyone as a peer. He is one person in the dance music scene that I have never heard a bad thing said about. 

His talents and charming personality will be missed.

I went out on a run Sunday morning & listened to some Junior tracks I had in a playlist. I felt the itch to hop on a live stream & play later that afternoon. It turned into almost a 5 hour set & could have played longer. Maybe I'll save it for another time.

Junior was such an inspiration to us all I am happy to share with you this set of my personal favorite tracks he made ever so famous.
