Belgium’s duo LOVELORN DOLLS strikes back with a stunning cover version of THE CURE’s cult song “Lullaby” distinguished by Kristell’s captivating female voice adding more catchy vocal melodies nicely merging with the Bernard’s distinct sound cocktail of incisive guitars and moody darkish electronics.
 
This song inaugurates the 2nd edition of the “A Strange Play tribute to THE CURE” compilation series released by the Alfa Matrix/Spleen+ label and is also released simultaneously as a video clip made by Kristell herself who is a visual artist and who quickly became passionate about the emergence of AI. Here we have the story of a girl who is followed by a strange guy, menacing and attractive at the same time. Will she succumb or will she manage to escape? The music video was made completely in tune with the times: she used artificial intelligence to make a mini-manga around “Lullaby” 's lyrics…
 
And when we ask Kristell why did she choose to write a cover of that very song, she says: “Lullaby is the first CURE song I heard as a kid. I must have been 9 years old when the music video came out, and frankly it freaked me out. And at the same time, its atmosphere attracted me, so I was in a permanent dilemma. It's a song that marked me, and naturally I offered to cover it!”.

The fourth track of the upcoming FLA soundtrack album "AirMech"

Carbon Games has signed Front Line Assembly to create an original album for AirMech. "For AirMech, the first thing I thought of was trying to get music that sounded like Front Line Assembly, so then I figured I should at least try and contact the band on the off chance they would be interested in talking with us," says James Green, Game Director at Carbon Games. "I was thrilled when the news came back that they would be interested in working on a game project again."

Front Line Assembly is one of the pioneering bands in the electronic industrial world and continues to be guided by founder Bill Leeb. The AirMech album has been under development since late 2011 in parallel with the progression of the game. Selections of the music will be deconstructed for use as dynamic music, which reacts to conditions during battle. The trademark structure of FLA's music made this collaboration an exciting opportunity for both teams. This album is entirely instrumental, and stands as a compelling FLA album on its own.
