i have a running playlist called the "cutting-edge coffee shop" where i dump tracks that work enough in a café setting • ambient enough to allow your mind to flow and wander but distinct enough to jostle you out of those states and ask "hey, who's playing right now?" • not as much real mixing here, but my mindset was to cut some of the fat that would have arose if these tracks fully played out like on a real coffeeshop playlist, and i ended up returning to the sensations of doing a late-night college radio show where only a handful of people listen, but that handful absolutely loves it
