Doing a collaboration with Steve had been a goal of ours for quite a few years. We finally got to meet him at Tomorrowland 2023, and at this point we had already done a remix of one of his tracks. He said he’d love to work with us again which made us absolutely giddy so we took our opportunity to send some ideas his way, and the rest is history. We are so proud of the final track and working with Steve was such a lovely experience!

Blood in the water is an energetic dancefloor banger, when Laminar brought it to me in the Monstercat X Hospital writers camp I immediately wanted to work on it with him. We started working on it and threw Imallryt straight onto the mic, I started noodling some melodies on the keyboard for the main lead line, and then we all started getting into that flow state of getting Imallryt's powerful vocal work down on the track, and bit by bit the song you hear today really started to take it's final shape.

His powerful anthems have been spun by D+B legends such as Andy C, Sub Focus, Friction, Culture Shock and more, across clubs and airwaves worldwide. Metrik is previously known for his popular solo works ‘Want My Love’, ‘Fatso’, ‘We Got It’ and ‘Chasing Sunrise’, as well as his collaborative remix with D+B high flyer Wilkinson of ‘I Need’, that reached the BBC Radio 1 playlist in 2019.
