while u was chasing paper i was making poems
alike to homo sacer, the way i stay alone
ill fight and hold a saber til they come to rake my bones
to great decay and sacred om, my fate is known
i trace and comb my way through space and roam
to face the crones, who hasten home my wasted dome to basal zone

dialectics over dualism
but my mind is hectic and assumes a prison
i fried electric but the wounds still hissing
i spy a spectre in my room which is spinning
i lose the glisten, exude perdition
from my two incisions cuz im too fictitious
hear boos and hisses
while they spoon blandishments
just to brusquely soothe my blisters

homo sacer

feeding frenzy in the ego's empty space, 
peek thru keyhole's entry and dense sea haze
sneak past sentry, he reaps many graves
keep sending waves of grief and malaise
bequeathed with a gaze
it creeps, then it fades
beneath the display
it accretes and it weighs
on me, weep til im dazed
a cretin, a slave
to deep inner hate
and feeling afraid

get lost in rhythm and vanish
from constant feeling of panic

erect a high fort, never let pass
all the eyesores in my lead past
fallin thru time towards a death pact

look into the camera see a hollow face
shook and kinda standing with astonished gaze
pushed into the narrows and i lost my way
ive undergone decay
a comment on the grave

i draw up dregs to spawn the lexicon
the wrought up dread that dawns will hex the throng
impress upon the listener
the perspective of a prisoner
just some lessons from the minotaur

im scribblin visuals over writtens of akin syllables
launchin mystic dirigibles of meaning
with caustic miserable feelings 
atop panoptic pinnacle i see things

in this semiotic crucible
i explore the symbolic and noumenal
quixotic aloof unknowns
in hegemonic exclusion zones
outside of what the institutions own
a logic built on human bones

mono no aware (もののあわれ) is the first compilation to be released on PAN, collating unreleased ambient tracks from both new and existing PAN artists.

Featuring Jeff Witscher, Helm, TCF, Yves Tumor, M.E.S.H., Pan Daijing, HVAD, Kareem Lotfy, ADR, Mya Gomez, Sky H1, James K, Oli XL, Bill Kouligas, Flora Yin-Wong, Malibu, and AYYA, the compilation moves through more traditional notions of what is called ’ambient’, to incorporating wider variations that fall under the term.

“Mono no aware”, ‘the pathos of things’, also translates as “an empathy toward things", or "a sensitivity to ephemera”. A term for the awareness of impermanence, or the transience of things. A meditation on mortality and life's transience, ephemerality heightens the appreciation of beauty and sensitivity to their passing. In investigating the passing of time, the boundaries between memory and hallucination become blurred; between fiction and reality. The movement of time transforms into an eternal present.

The album is mastered and cut by Rashad Becker at D&M, featuring photography by Molly Matalon and design by Bill Kouligas. A limited version of 100 copies will be released as a special art edition in collaboration with Mount Analog for the LA Art Book Fair 2017, before going on general release.
