Our 43rd podcast was recorded by Moscow artist Artyom Dermendzhiev a.k.a. Raciya Bağdad. In his music Artem combines elements of different genres, mixes guitar riffs with a straight kick, melancholic noise with samples of speech heard on the radio, aggressive rhythms with dreamy melodies and acid overflows. The mix is composed of his own compositions, including several tracks from the new EP released on the Moscow label Routine.

Current Call is the stage name of Masha Kalinina, a DJ from Nizhny Novgorod. Masha's formation as an artist took place in the golden years of Moscow club Rabitsa, and now she performs at the biggest parties in Moscow with sets, in which she drifts from dark dub and meditative rhythms to spiritually uplifting old-school techno and back.

This podcast #54 was recorded for us by wei.xzy, co-founder of the ‘collective’ label and community. In their compilations they release tracks from enthusiasts from all over the world united by a passion for exploring the possibilities of sound and a desire to share their discoveries. 
A producer and DJ with an extraordinary sense of music, a digger of various genres, presents us with his auditory reflection on the current events. Сегодняшняя гостья нашей рубрики #волчокподкаст VanviD — участница московских техно-вечеринок с субкультурным прошлым.

- В 14 лет мечтала собрать свою группу, но не нашла единомышленников и оставила эту затею.
- Всю юность проводила на панк-гигах и фестивалях, потом открыла для себя экстремальную электронику (спидкор, брейккор), но из-за непопулярности этих жанров перешла на «более лайтовые» техно, эйсид, электро. 
- Своим главным достижением считает наличие возможности играть и быть услышанной: «Учитывая сколько сейчас диджеев, тусовок, круто, что узнают тебя и твой стиль».
- Лучший концерт, на котором удалось побывать, - Black Sabbath в Олимпийском в 2014-м: «На последней песне Paranoid вылетели мониторы, и всех начали выгонять. Но мы не особо впали в разочарование, кто-то из чуваков включил её на телефоне и, пока охрана выводила всех, мы просто шли и орали толпой».
- Самая знаковая вечеринка — «Нобель» в Петербурге в апреле 2017. «Тот момент, когда ты совершенно один. Без знакомых, друзей. И тут я ощутила для себя новое состояние — ты пришёл сюда слушать музыку. Нет никакого общения, никто и ничто не отвлекает тебя. Есть только ты и музыка среди огромного количества человек».
- Если бы до конца жизни могла слушать только троих музыкальных исполнителей, это были бы Кровосток, Гражданская Оборона и Торба (Хыдыш).

VanviD -  VOLCHOK PODCAST #6

Герои очередного выпуска #волчокподкаст - электронный дуэт Yung Acid из Казани. В своих треках Марк Грибоедов и Ильсур Касичка сочетают рэп и техно и делают это так свежо и оригинально, что их музыка уже нашла отклик у слушателей за пределами России. По традиции - подборка интересных фактов о музыкантах:

- У Yung Acid есть свой лейбл Get Busy Recordings и одноименная промо-группа, с помощью которых они продвигают музыкантов из России и ближнего зарубежья.
- За плечами Марка и Ильсура - релизы на голландском лэйбле New York Haunted и французском Nocturnal Frequencies Records.
- О совместном творчестве: «Честно говоря, вместе работаем над треками уже только на финальной стадии, решаем технические вопросы, дополняем художественный замысел и подобное. А изначально ловим общую идею, и каждый развивает ее по-своему, что в результате складывается в одну общую картину — альбом или EP. Что интересно, несмотря на то, что не договариваемся заранее, взгляды совпадают почти всегда».
- О Казани: «В Казань определённо стоит сгонять, пусть она не пестрит таким разнообразием вечеринок как Москва, но у нее есть своя индивидуальность. Из последних, кто делает очень интерсно — промо «Изолента». Если впервые в городе, стоит посетить Соль, Jam Bar, многим нравится Фабрика Алафузова».
