This is more conscious techno from the RF base camp. Another good sound ritual for those who still believe in the inherent power of dance music. Not as a means of superficial escape, or generating purposeless profit, or empty fame, or elite status, but rather as modern tribal communication and testament to a musical language spoken and understood by all. Elements of hip hop production, not as a cliche or parody, but in the style of sampling, re-purposing of vaguely familiar, bold suggestions, into a whole new context that brings them into the realm of real-time personal connection. These are not pretentious words, put together for the purpose of sounding "deep" or selling you something. This is a whole different approach to releasing music, or at least a humble attempt at it. Dance music with the natural and intended spirit of revolution, spiritual evolution, not conformity and hedonism. The only strategy is authenticity and resolve. "...the Volksfreude remix of ‘Beauty of Sadness’ that opens with a similar feel to the original, again just not quite as we know it. Complete with some different programming on the drums but still a heavy emphasis on them. However once this mix warms up it’s a different affair, totally on fire, that sound reminiscent of days gone is still there but this kicks and would definitely have a dance floor moving. What a remix should really be, a re-interpretation not just a rearrangement of a piece of music."
