This sound. It reverbs, echoing from side to side. It will enter your field of vision and propagate through bone. It’ll disseminate through tissue and exterminate your plains of thought. It’ll breed within the abysses of your memory and fold into your cranial spheres stretching - pulling - shaping - twisting. You won’t be able to unhear it, the sequence, that is. It has trickled down your pits of perception straight through the antipodes of your consciousness and now you feel it in your fingertips and in your toes and here, you’ll release it into reality. Here, our bodies won’t be petrified no more. Here, everything will make sense.

The cure:
Apophenia can be described as a neurological psychosomatic condition that manifests itself through the absolute conviction that patterns, in whichever shape or form - are meaningful. Since humanity’s debut into consciousness, our brain has been at work trying to piece together information from the incredible vastness of nonsensical entropic matter that seemingly makes no human sense. It is not by chance that our existence within this cosmos can be reduced and supposedly explained through Numerology, Fibonacci Sequences and Golden Ratios. We are the direct product of a universe that is governed by recurring forces, fields and waves. Everything that exists, emits a pattern, so it comes to no surprise that our brains have been programmed to function as pattern-detection machines, thus making it possible for us to connect meaningful links amongst the flurry of sensorial data we perceive. ​If everything that exists emits a pattern then to exist is to make noise. This noise is what inhabits our universe of its recurring, never ending sound. This noise, is the pattern we create in our mind as a response to such universe and proceed to pause, repeat, pause, repeat until this noise becomes a vernacular, until this noise becomes a form, until this noise becomes a reality. It is here that my recurring thoughts guide me to a recurring beat. For it is the recurrence of the thought in itself that generates the sound of a recurring snare or prevalent drum. For it is my brain’s aphophenistic tendency to let these sounds adhere to the synapses in my brain connecting pattern to memory and memory to thought and thought to meaning and meaning to, reality. For our pattern-detecting brains techno thus becomes the direct product of a universe that simply begs to be listened.
This is not a disease, this is techno induced apophenia.

The term serf, in the sense of an unfree peasant of the Russian Empire, is the usual translation of krepostnoi krestyanin (крепостной крестьянин). The origins of serfdom in Russia are traced to Kievan Rus' in the 11th century. Legal documents of the epoch, such as Russkaya Pravda, distinguished several degrees of feudal dependency of peasants.

Serfdom became the dominant form of relation between peasants and nobility in the 17th century. Serfdom most commonly existed in the central and southern areas of the Russian Empire. Serfdom in the Urals and Siberia was widely unseen until, during the reign of Catherine the Great, businesses began to send serfs into those areas in an attempt to harvest their large amount of untapped natural resources.

Volsent has explored a plethora of music genres, all feeding into his current combination of disturbed sound, based on powerful kicks, funk and breaks, augmented with classical melodies. His journey as an electronic music producer began with hip hop and jungle breaks, eventually leading down a path to his curren industrial sound. Today, Volsent's music is characterized by a modular, synth-heavy approach to sound design, fusing heavy beats with thick, distorted synth riffs. He joined the London electronic experimental scene in 2010. Surrounded by crazy musicians and toy circuit benders, he found himself in an underground community that helped him explore and develop a passion for analogue equipment. As a performer, he believes in the power of live analogue performances. This allows him to shape sound for the dancer, generating potentially unexpected switches
