Release 6 brings forth another wicked link up in the form of Aries, Nicky Blackmarket and the legendary dancehall vocalist Cheshire Cat who laces his vocals on the kung fu influenced ‘Monkey Fire’. Straight to the point with no messing around, it’s a track that leads to further discovery the more you play it. Beats for the dancefloor, twisted Amen breaks and mind-bending warping basslines aplenty.
 
‘The Journey’ is pretty self explanatory and if you know, then you know. Drums, drum and more drums from that vintage mid 90’s era are bound to ring home to plenty of original raving veterans and when that gritty, rolling bassline hits it’s almost as if you can feel the bottled up atmosphere flowing out of your speakers. A tough, simplistic tune that doesn’t need stacks and stacks of channel strips, what this does need though is a vinyl release..

Dropping December 18th, the album is packing eleven awesome tracks from much-loved label mainstays and beyond, with remixers including Gray, DJ Gaw, Offline, Disrupta, Ben Snow, Marcus Visionary, T>I, Manual and Zoro.

Inspired by what has so far been an incredible journey for Born on Road, the album represents the beginning of a new annual series revisiting our classic anthems and giving them a fresh twist. Whether it’s AC13 breathing new life into one of his most popular releases with a special VIP of ‘Awake’, or Gaw transforming Aries & Jacky Murda’s feel good festival anthem ‘Jungle Style’ [Feat. Spyda] into a heavy roller tailor-made for the heads.

But it wouldn’t be Christmas without a few surprises now, would it? That’s why we’re also including some brand new remixes you won’t have heard before, including T>I’s murky remix of Selecta J- Man, Aries & Blackout JA’s ‘Ninja Mi Ninja’ [Feat. Courtney Melody], and Zoro’s remix of Ben Snow’s ‘Sign Out’ [Feat. David Boomah] – an original causing endless amounts of carnage across the festival circuit in 2019 as a dub.
