‘Nubla’ is a conceptual album focused on body and movement. This exploration of somatic internal impulses proposes an intimate look in a social context of overstimulation. It is an overflowed work of opposites, in which the search for certainties comes face to face with contradiction, where borders are not clear and boundaries are blurred, presenting a hazy horizon in appearance, but inevitably cyclical. We find here tracks of fluid sonority, almost liquid, persevering music that oscillates between different densities and intensities: from melody to noise, from brute force to lightness, from the transcendent to the daily. “Returning to our bodies”, says Voltereta, “imposes another type of rhythm, more connected to life.”

‘Nubla’ es un álbum conceptual enfocado en el cuerpo y el movimiento. Esta exploración de los impulsos internos somáticos propone una mirada íntima en un contexto social de sobreestimulación. Se trata de un trabajo de opuestos, desbordado, en el que la búsqueda de certezas se da de bruces con la contradicción, donde las fronteras no quedan claras y los límites se desdibujan, presentando un horizonte nebuloso en apariencia, pero inevitablemente cíclico. Encontramos aquí un disco de sonoridad fluida, casi líquida, música perseverante que oscila entre distintas densidades e intensidades: de la melodía al ruido, de la fuerza bruta a lo liviano, de lo trascendente a lo cotidiano. “La vuelta al cuerpo”, comenta Voltereta, “nos impone otro tipo de ritmo más conectado a la vida.”

"Embrace capitalism (until it strangles you)" is a simple, clear and forceful anti-capitalist message, based on famous quotes by so diverse personalities as Albert Einstein, Michael Moore or Henry Rollins from Black Flag, covered up among a tangle of electronic sounds, techno, darkwave, EBM and industrial music, with the aim of fulfilling the strange and challenging goal of making a large mass of public dance and later make them think about the messages that have consciously or unconsciously absorbed during the very human, trivial and necessary exercise of dancing in society. In the video, directed by Juan Carlos Cembreros (ScreenWarriors) and starring the model Miranda Díez, the degradation of the Western individual to which capitalism itself submits with its subtle mechanisms that we all embrace with supposed happiness is represented in a hyper-explicit way, capturing this concept in a young and beautiful woman who ends up totally shattered and unhinged because in our society the youngest are the most susceptible to capitalist trickery and women in particular, the most disadvantaged in a still unbalanced balance between genders at all levels and, in addition to this, in a sad 21st century in which we are witnessing the tyranny of beauty and the hyper-sexualization of girls. Embrace capitalism, allow the exploitation of yourself and others. Watch your own suicide.

Mesh Mix Series 008: Lindred 

A curated series where we commission artists to make an hour long mix of whatever inspires them to experiment, produce, play out and what they listen to.

 "This mix is a reflection of the work I have being developing as a sound practitioner for my new conceptual wellness sessions; the Soundspa. I present here some of the sonic vocabulary that I create from field recordings, digitally processed abstract sounds, and lush drones. 

During sessions at the Soundspa, the deep listener lays in between four speakers placed around their head and a subwoofer at their feet. With the aid of my voice, I bring them into a relaxed state and take them on an aural journey that is often times met with feelings of exhilaration, waves of body disorientation, and most excitingly: otherwordly wonder.

When listening to this mix I suggest to listen to it at a gentle volume, as if it’s a background or with your eyes closed in a comfy place with headphones. The sounds have been spatialize to move around your head, adding an extra element of mystique - and you may be surprised to find your mind wandering off and creating images or touching memories you have forgotten.
