Our favourite Berlin-based bass butcher Bukez Finezt is back on the label, and this time he’s cut up beats so rotten they’re gonna putrefy your very existence.

Across three gnarly Putrefied Soul riddims, the German’s genome shaking production prowess is bordering on clinical insanity. 

Tortured genius or certified madman? We’ll let you decide. 

The eponymous opener stays true to Bukez’ heritage, with ice cold metallic textures and system shattering bass - before a techno breakdown that wouldn’t be out of place at the Berghain’s most debauched raves. Mala’s been rinsing this one. 

Who Da Buckezt takes things in an all the more urban direction, with faux gangsta swag, nasty putrid beats and savage satanic synths. 

EP closer Bussin might be the nastiest of the lot, as discordant, disorientating swells, swoon and gloom, gorging on misery and discombobulation before glitchy breakbeats finally drag you down to the pits of hell.

Volume Unit is a solo bass music producer and engineer from Buffalo, NY. He grew up playing the drums starting out at the ripe age of 5 and from there transitioned into bands, getting some experience and knowledge around DAWs which would be the origination of the roots that would grow into the Volume Unit project. He has a keen ear for rhythm and groove, and moves with intention to bring you his masterful sound and harmonious flow with every performance, release, and piece of content that he puts out to the world.

He has fast made a place for himself in the underground music scene, with notable releases such as 'The Jungle' receiving support from artists the likes of Excision, Subtronics, Luzcid & many others. He has also ventured into the festival circuit having played such events as Firelights, Evolutions, & Paradise in 2024 & 2025

With roots of Trap, Dubstep, Left-field, Dnb, Bass House & other various genres; pushing boundaries, and packing energy; his wicked bass rhythms and juicy distorted low end are not to be missed

He brings a new energy to the dancefloor, playing what most artists would not, going where DJs don't often go. He is not afraid to showcase to the world the magical sounds that the undercard music scene has to offer

Coming prepared with an endless stack of original music to every show as well as high energy releases from his friends and the people that inspire him most, you can always expect the Volume to go up when the Unit is in the building.

Having played multiple headlining events in his hometown & throughout the states as well as playing direct support for artists such as Peekaboo, Super Future, Luzcid, Sully, Dirt Monkey, Meso, ShwiLLy & many others, Volume Unit is well seasoned in his tastes and knows exactly what to bring to get his crowd moving and grooving.
