The title track 'Saturn', evolves around a "90s" main synth and heavy percussion groove combined with melodic and aggressive breakdowns, while
Aegis, the second track of the ep, is a mix of introspective melodies and cutting energetic percussions, keeping the tensioned atmosphere trough out the track.
Cosmonaut, consisting of a powerful main arpeggiated synth that creates the effect of a turbulent space trip with powerful Orbital mood, while Radiowave, the fourth track that closes the ep, is more a straight for the floor cut with classic drums grooves joins the various colored synths and a male voice.

After having a string of highly successful EP’s back in 2012 on Komisch, being followed by a triple release on Peter Van Hoesen’s Time To Express the mysterious figure of SP-X disappeared as swiftly as he emerged.

In only a few releases SP-X managed to capture the attention of many with his striped back yet hyper effective take on techno. The fact that so little is known about the man behind the music only added to the story.

Now, after a long silence, the Brussels based artist will release his first EP in two years on Cleric’s newly launched “PROJEKTS” imprint. Next to that he will also start touring around the globe for the first time. With more releases scheduled for 2018 SP-X is stepping out of his own shadows, leaving mystery behind and focusing solely on the power of his music.

For the second installment of this year we open a new door, the "Formless" series, which aims to cover a wide spectrum of contemporary techno. We start with "Fue A Lo Mejor, Mejor" from Åre:gone; an experimental and intelligent track inclined towards the IDM movement. We continue with "Triss", by JLTZ, with a hypnotic and enveloping sound at the same time as powerful and precise. William Arist presents "Binary Code" for the third; a very useful tool with guaranteed results for any dance floor. The fourth track "Derrapagem", belonging to the duo -2, stands out for its innovative and daring proposal with a strong tribal influence. As fifth in the list appears "L8", by Temudo, combining a strong bass and powerful kick drum with a very catchy rhythm. "Point of No Return", by Eònan, arrives later, being faithful to the Berliner sound and excelling by its incessant synth sequence. Ascorbite, with "All About The Hustle", delivers the most industrial touch to this compilation, with an aggressive aproach and sounds that flirt with the 90s Trance. In number eight we have "Chords For Grace" by Earthscape, mixing industrial elements with Detroit Techno chords, bringing out a very interesting rave sound for these times. It is followed by "2daBone" from Vil, another track that looks much more into the classical aesthetics but reaches a peculiar and daring level. The Chronics closes this pack with "Cloud Nine", a warmer and melodic cut, produced in a very organic way.

Unconformist, the rising Swiss techno prodigy and head honcho of Underground Connexion Records is set to release his upcoming Hidden Cults EP on STRISCTRX. Although only established in 2017, the label founded by Berlin-based producer STRISC. has become fast known for its stream of stellar techno releases. Hidden Cults is the latest EP to be released on the label and a crushing testament to STRISCTRX’s reputation as a platform for world class techno.

The 4-track EP opens with Rites. Fierce; heavy; and unforgiving, Rites is a pounding techno slammer with a monumental midpoint drop and a colossal conclusion that perfectly introduces the extraordinary talent honed by the up and coming producer.

Stepping up to the remix of Rites is STRISC. himself who features on the second track of the upcoming EP. Although the founder of the STRISCTRX imprint remains shrouded in mystery, the quality and consistency of his productions confirm him as one of the most exciting rising stars in techno.

STRISC’s remix of Rites is a gut-wrenching techno tirade with a furious tempo and relentless drum track that’s guaranteed to dominate the most formidable of dancefloors.

The third track on Hidden Cults is an original mix from Unconformist entitled Formality that packs a punch with a thunderous pace whilst retaining depth with an undercurrent of melancholic synths.

Liturgy, the fourth and final track on the EP is another razor sharp techno weapon. Relentless percussion builds pressure as twitching, foreboding synths create a sinister tension until the final drop, taking the EP to an unforgettable conclusion.

As the trajectory of the up and coming producer’s career rises with unstoppable momentum, Hidden Cults verifies Unconformist’s sheer and unrivalled talent whilst adding to the stream of world class releases from STRISCTRX.

UK techno don Jay Clarke joins the Soma ranks with The Kicker. Jay has started making his mark on the global techno scene with some serious releases via the awesome Klockworks label, and of course his own BLACKAXON imprint. Jay’s sound is characterised by elements of straight-up intense techno, blended with deeper Detroit-esque elements, culminating in a unique and well-produced style.

Straight Through opens up Jay’s Soma account and focuses firmly on the dance floor. Looped out, driving percussive elements push the track as hypnotic synths keep the rhythm flowing. Overlook has a tribalistic feel to it as wooden percussion work into a perfectly orchestrated groove allowing chopping hi hats and rides to deliver intensity as swelling atmosphere keep things ominous. Taking things down a deeper path, The Spark bounds with a well-crafted groove as spatial synth work brings more melodic and emotive aspects to the forefront. Title track The Kicker offers up the most diverse sounding cut on the EP with broken beat rhythms and discordant, almost jazzy synths breathing a distinct life throughout the track.
