The feel good ‘2 Getha (4 Eva Mix)’ kicks things of with old school drum breaks and loved-up vocals. Big smeared pads, a new age melody and classic bassline line finish it off and carry you away to summery house heaven. .

'Born Ready' is made of a perfect synthetic melody which John alone has the secret, a powerful bassline, a bouncing drumrack and lovely vocal samples. As B side's first track of Untartined Tapes Volume 3, it sounds fantastically fresh with no concessions. John can surely keep the keys of the label.

The sixth edition of the Sterns Edits series sees label head Ben Gomori and rising star Tom Jay tackle two big tracks by Malian singer Nahawa Doumbia.

Hailing from the Wassoulou region of Mali — which has produced many other stars, not least Oumou Sangaré — Nahawa has been a significant force since the late 1980s, when Sterns Africa first combined and released the Syllart-produced albums 'Didadi' and 'Nyama Toutou'. It is from these albums that Gomori has picked two of the biggest, most joyous tracks for he and Jay to work on.

'Sigi Sele' soars with its rousing horn section and Doumbia's impassioned vocal, and makes for excellent dancefloor material. Gomori's main edit keeps the majority of the original intact, chunking it up gently in all the necessary places. His Disco Dub edit hones in on the guitars and trumpets for something more groove-oriented. Tom Jay's rework of 'Djina Mousso' is similarly respectful, coaxing it
onto the contemporary house music dancefloor with the minimum of fuss or excess.

Moment Cinetique return with the label debut of hotly-tipped Australian DJ/Producer Cassettes for Kids. One of the brightest talents emerging from the Oz scene CFK has already enjoyed Number 1 releases and big name support from his previous releases on SlothBoogie, Esuoh and more.

The EP's title Goldfish Feelings brings a different angle to his output with an abstract and euphoric production containing infectious vocal and analogue layering to create a unique standout track.

One of the busiest and most prolific DJ/Producers of the moment, Tilman provides a remix of the title track, adding his high quality dancefloor-ready production to the main theme.

The B-Side sees CFK provide two club ready tracks that he is recognised for with the deep disco vibe of Wax Love and the heavy-basslined intoxication of Remaining Strain.

Cassettes For Kids - Goldfish Feelings (Tilman Remix)

New York vocalist Kosmo Kint joined the Toy Tonics crew. Born in Trinidad and raised in New York City, Kosmo has been part of the recent Brooklyn scene, singing in several projects in NYC before moving to Berlin two years ago. To find like minded people to create new lyrics driven dancemusic.
 
In Berlin he teamed up with the Toy Tonics boys and now TT boss Kapote and the crew are working with him in Berlin Kreuzberg to find a new R&B & Disco influenced style of electronic dance music.
The first release is a collabo between french talent Mangabey and Kosmo Kint - produced by Kapote. 
The 2 songs have a chilled L.A. G Funk vibe that makes you think about certain Dr. Dre productions from the 90ies combined with some broken beats and 4 to the floor house vibes.
The song might remember some french touch tracks too and some might think about that West London early 2000 "Dego" vibe maybe. Anyway, its new and there is not a name yet for that style. Let’s see where the TT crew will bring Kosmo Kint sonically over the next years.
