Como uma amante de uma boa pistinha, onde ela se apaixonou pela música eletrônica há mais de uma década, quando está do outro lado dos decks se preocupa em fazer as pessoas dançar e curtir como se ela mesma estivesse na pista também.

Sua "viagem sonora" tem influências do beat eletrônico Downtempo, com ritmos orgânicos e livres, buscando valorizar o trabalho de produtores latino-americanes.

Participa ativamente da cena do Uruguai além de ser “DJ guia xamã” em cerimônias de Cacau e Ecstatic Dance, entre outras.

Curadora e produtora dos eventos do projeto @floresmilfestival , focado em difundir a cultura Cannábica como medicina para o corpo e a mente. Seus eventos conscientes proporcionam autoconhecimento, experiências místicas e sensoriais, utilizando a música e a arte como forma de cura.

Fusing Japanese and European folk music with disco, Que Sakamoto has created a unique electronic sound which has spread across the globe. From his deep roots in the Tokyo underground, he finds himself outside Japan most of the year on his relentless tours of Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas. Back home in Tokyo, he is leading the Nu Disco scene in Japan as a founding member of Huit Etoiles.

May Balbino (@may-balbino), paulistana de 31 anos é Dj e artista plástica, e passeia pelas vertentes sonoras com a mesma liberdade que desenvolve suas artes.
Começou a tocar as 2013, num curso de DJ no Dynamite e desde lá, já passou por várias casas como a clássia Alôca, Desmanche e Selva, e depois de uns anos dedicada a outros projetos, ela volta com uma nova pesquisa onde mistura house music, funk, mpb e eurodance. Depois do seu retorno as pick-ups já tocou na Bahia, na festa Sunset Buera, e também em SP, nas festas: Quack, Complexa, Orgasticah, Festa Tereza, Baile_Baile, Afair, no Espaço Godê, Dali Daqui e Heavy House Club.

Aleakim (@4leakim) é um dos projetos de Mikaela Pimentel. Nascida no nordeste e radicada no Rio de Janeiro, é presente na cena eletrônica carioca há bastante tempo, mas foi apenas em 2020, no início da pandemia, que começou a discotecar. Entendendo a música como um elemento poderoso capaz de conectar e sincronizar as pessoas numa mesma frequência, Aleakim utiliza influências ritualistas e misturas de gêneros da música eletrônica com o intuito de hipnotizar e transportar o público para outra dimensão. Para ela, o Dj é um xamã e a música é um condutor energético.

Pigmalião is the result of experiments on merging Latin American regional and roots references with specific sounds from other parts of the world. Pigmalião is the materialization of the reference acquis from the label Frente Bolivarista and remains in constant transformation alongside the label release narrative.

Frente Bolivarista has made a stellar rise over the past year to be one of the labels to watch for the future of Latin America music. The label has dug deep with many compilations, releasing names such as Captain Planet (USA), Thomash (DE), Montoya (CO), El Búho (NL), Akimbo (GB), Carrot Green (BR), Quixosis (EC) and others.
Brazilian musical legacy has always seemed somewhat set apart from the rest of the continent but the label, alongside the growing links between booming São Paulo and Buenos Aires, Quito or Lima shows that the tide is changing. It is indeed the becoming, and going even further than, the musical version of Bolivar’s dream: a global collaboration of new, inter infected, border hopping sounds shaping the future of Latin American music.

Urubu Marinka & Thomash @ Seebuehne / Fusion Festival 2016

El Búho is a UK producer now based Mexico City whose music draws the lines between electronic production, found sounds & organic samples and Latin American rhythms and folklore. He has released music on ZZK Records, Antartek Records and his latest EP Cenotes through Wonderwheel recordings and remixed for the likes of Chancha Via Circuito, Nicola Cruz, Tremor, Luzmila Carpio, Lucas Santana and Lulacruza amongst others

As well as curating the album A Guide to the Birdsong of South America he is also one of the co-founders of the Shika Shika with Argentine producer Barrio Lindo. He is currently working on his first LP.

This mix is 40 minutes of unreleased material, edits, remixes and music made specifically for Voodoohop!

VOODOOHOP is an outlandish art collective born from a series of underground parties and is now a striking artistic movement in Brazil. Through 6 years of collaborative events, Voodoohop has gathered a myriad of artists from different disciplines with the likes of Djs, live performers, dancers and visual artists. Together they have created a multi sensory tropical cabaret, mixing colourful and exuberant visuals, combined with elements of Brasilian traditional heritage and ritualistic performance. Nomadic in nature, the collective has transformed spaces ranging from abandoned buildings to natural hideaways. Always experimenting with different media and formats, Voodoohop is in constant flux.
