About Lotte Ahoi:

Lotte Ahoi is a multi­culturally inspired DJ and collector of music gems. In order to understand what moves her and what moves her listeners, one has to imagine the nature of a sloth – a sloth that loves music but hates stress, instead choosing to hang on a tree, watching the flowers grow and waiting for the sun to shine in her ears.

Inspired by the emerging generation of electronic music producers interpreting their own and other’s musical roots in genre­blind fusions of sounds, her sets tend to break with tradition without actually breaking them at all giving the almost forgotten but anyway wonderful music a spotlight on a stage they deserve.
Her fascination with what she calls the “RemixEditReworkGeneration” drives her never-ending search for diamonds in the rough. And on most days, you can find Lotte digging for diamonds all over the musical spectrum, weaving them together in a slowmomoving and sneakily surprising wave of funkumbiafrorientropical Slothdisco.

After travelling the world together many times with countless vacation soundtracks and exchanging thousands of songs throughout our friendship, this was the first time sharing the dj booth with my favorite travel companion @pacayapacaya at @klunkerkranich's Wohnzimmer. Our extended world-racoon-sloth-journey turned out to become a pretty colourful 6-hrs trip... visiting various countries, genres, decades and tempos without taking too much care about transitions, but finally playing some „dj-unfriendly“ gems ;) ... 99 songs from our hearts into your ears! VOODOOHOP is an outlandish art collective born from a series of underground parties and is now a striking artistic movement in Brazil. Through 6 years of collaborative events, Voodoohop has gathered a myriad of artists from different disciplines with the likes of Djs, live performers, dancers and visual artists. Together they have created a multi sensory tropical cabaret, mixing colourful and exuberant visuals, combined with elements of Brasilian traditional heritage and ritualistic performance. Nomadic in nature, the collective has transformed spaces ranging from abandoned buildings to natural hideaways. Always experimenting with different media and formats, Voodoohop is in constant flux.
