In 2020 Argentinian artist San Ignacio released his second full-length album called 'La Identidad es una Trampa' which explored the connections between South American rhythms and captivating electronic textures. Now those last year's tracks come back redefined by some of the finest producers from all over Latin America - including Ecuador's Quixosis and Joaquín Cornejo, Costa Rica's Nillo, Peru's Tribilin Sound and more. Among them is Brazilian Cigarra who skilfully reworked 'Déjenme Gozar', a song that is an interpretation of traditional Argentinian chant and features a wonderful voice of Lola Bhajan.

Directly from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this set was created by DJs Yule and Alive Pop-Up during carnival in pandemic times. The inspiration came to Yule a few years ago when she saw some dj sets like Projeto Mujique and Vovóhop. They sought ultra-popular Brazilian references and tried to express some of the things that you would, for sure, hear in Brazilian streets during carnival. For those who have never been to a Carnival in Brazil, it is nothing more (and nothing less) than a total and endless mess of costumes and unsynchronized music. Through lots of different drums and live versions of extremely famous songs they try to bring this nostalgic feeling: complete madness. Mixing Brazilian popular styles was Flavio Cesar's idea. Music researcher, owner of a legacy of 5,000 records, and one of the most beloved guys in the Brazilian vinyl scene, Alive Pop-Up is also an itinerant record store project, open to the 4 corners of the planet, traveling and receiving international vinyl buyers here in Brazil, and passing our heritage through discotheques and exhibitions. Flavio was not only essential for the music selection but also participated in the first minutes of the set as a great Master of Ceremony, opening the party! Some of these lyrics are extremely politic, as in Mangueira's Samba, Or Veronez live street recording, and others extremely sexy and flirty. This set tries to go to every single corner of Brasil. This Ep contains 3 tracks where every song have a different meaning and language; The first track take position as an Intro Edit song and we go straight to Brasil transported by the unique voice of one of the biggest master in music under my opinion, Mr Caetano Veloso; the second one we jump in a higher BPM and country, yes I will drive you now to my land in south of Patagonia, exactly to the Wallmapu (south of Chile), land of one of the last and aboriginal standings "Tribes" we can still find on this planet ... they are still alive and I try to spread they living essence of life with respect and devotion; this is “Mongetun" which means in Mapudungun (they language) "Re-born, back to life" a sign of never give up ... 
For the last part of our sound adventure, we go to Tucuman, land of Mercedes Sosa, she Inspires me with her powerful voice since I was a little child, today I brought to you "Canción del Indio" talking about the sad part of the conquers taking they lands, that is the explication for the musical progression in the track where I try to describe internal emotions and mixing with a bit of history, conscience to finally reach freedom and silence as the last track. DJ Raff’s original ‘Resistencia EP’ won strong support from tastemakers like Tom Ravenscroft on BBC 6 Music who called it “…his best record ever.” and as well as interviewing DJ Raff he also featured a guest mix on his show. Further support came from Worldwide FM as ‘Resistencia’ was selected as one of ‘This Week’s Essential Tracks’ and featured in Resident Advisor’s ‘New Tracks’.

The ‘Resistencia Remixes’ is now out on digital and in Jan 2020 a special vinyl package with the originals and remixes will be out.

Dengue Dengue Dengue take the reins on remixing title track ‘Resistencia’ and focusing on the drums and bass they have turned it into a heavy 1:56am hypnotic banger. We were at Phonox in Brixton, London when they played it at 1:56am and the drop was met with cheers and whoops… tried and tested!

All round incredible talent El Buho, renowned for his beautifully textured production blending Latin sounds with electronic beats, has given ‘Memoria’ a bouncing bassline, shuffling beat and textured with strings results in an infectious track you can’t help but move to.

Argentinian producer Kaleema (who has previously worked with Chancha Via Circuito) played a version of her DJ Raff remix on a live session at Worldwide FM earlier this year. She has taken ‘Mundo Paralello’ and with added synths and strings turned it into a down-tempo dreamscape.

focado em downtempo e adepto do live-editing e do live-mashup, os sets de perrengue são sempre pontuados pela linha ritmica, pelas camadas de loops percussivos e efeitos concatenados. Produtor de festas e parte de alguns coletivos desde 2014, seus sets já passaram por diversas festas clássicas do underground paulistano como voodoohop, ¡venga-venga!, MBR, festival órbita, debut, pilantragi e blum e de diversas novas festas do cenário de downtempo e de brasilidades de são paulo. É um dos fundadores do coletivo Quack! que há dois anos tem fomentado uma cena underground de downtempo e sido palco de diversos novos djs, seja nas suas festas no Ninho, como em festas de rua, em festivais pelo Brasil como o SpnaRua, Respect, e outros, e que recentemente tem mantido eventos online pelo zoom e pelo twitch unindo diversos atores do downtempo do Brasil inteiro semanalmente.

Para esse set a idéia era tocar algo que ele não toca normalmente e isso foi complicado para alguém que toca de shakira à stockhausen num mesmo set, mas o que saiu segundo o mesmo é que "pode parecer que esse set é prova de versatilidade, mas no máximo é prova de doidiça mesmo". partindo originalmente de elementos do jazz, o set acabou sendo ampliado para outras coisas que refletiram muito mais um gosto pessoal, vindo de coisas que fazem parte de sua formação musical de muito antes dele pensar em ser dj, com a vontade de encaixar esse recorte musical num espaço de escuta diferente de uma pista - mas que nada é muito além de só tocar música que ele gosta. Se normalmente seus sets são sempre no improviso e tocando o que dá na telha na hora, esse mesmo sendo diferente, não podia muito fugir disso.

Focused on downtempo and adept at live-editing and live-mashup, the Perrengue sets are always punctuated by the rhythmic line, the layers of percussive loops and concatenated effects. Producer of parties and part of some collectives since 2014, his sets have gone through several classic parties of São Paulo underground like voodoohop, ¡venga-venga !, MBR, Festival Órbita, debut, pilantragi and blum and several new parties in the downtempo scene and brasilidades from São Paulo. He is one of the founders of the coletivo Quack! which has been promoting an underground downtempo scene for two years and has been the stage for several new DJs, whether at their parties at the Ninho, as at street parties, at festivals in Brazil such as SPnaRua, Respect, and others, and which has recently maintained online events by zoom and twitch, bringing together several actors from downtempo from all over Brazil weekly.

For this set the idea was to play something that he doesn't normally play and that was complicated for someone who plays from shakira to stockhausen in the same set, but what came out according to the same is that "it may seem that this set is proof of versatility, but at most it is really crazy proof ". departing originally from jazz elements, the set ended up being expanded to other things that reflected much more a personal taste, coming from things that were part of his musical formation from long before he thought of being a dj, with the desire to fit this musical frame in a listening space other than a track - but that is nothing more than just playing music he likes. If normally your sets are always on improvisation and playing what happens on the spot at the time, this one being different, I couldn't really escape it.
