DJ Sphinx is a Detroit-based DJ and multimedia artist whose work reflects both her connection to the city’s Techno legacy and her background in visual art. Her sets are evolving narratives that weave layered rhythms, playful acid grooves, and Detroit Techno cuts into hypnotic, immersive sonic journeys. Her mixing style draws inspiration from themes of mythology, history, intimacy, and expanded consciousness- inviting listeners into spaces of connection, transformation, and discovery. 

Since beginning her practice in 2018,
she has brought her vision to celebrated stages including Electric Forest, Movement Electronic Music Festival, and The Great Beyond Festival.

Vortices warmly welcomes auditory alchemist Poetic Note.

Transplanted from textured terrain of Queens, NY to the subterranean of Durham, NC, She transmutes silence into a language of its own by channeling fractures of the human psyche through the translation of assertive ’90s grunge and metalcore-punk attitudes into today's underground electronic music scene. 

She’s recognized for sculpting dancefloors with deliberate intention & refusing the comfort of predictability. In just a few years, she has demonstrated an uncommon ability to exchange energy with the dancefloor while still curating the darker, more abrasive contours of sound… 

Beyond the confines of gritty warehouses and intimate clubs, through Sad Muse Club, she conjures the divine feminine, elevating femme-identifying artists across the Triangle’s subterranean scene, cultivating a space that asserts its existence purely through its presence.

For both those who’ve lived in the static and those still searching for resonance, Poetic Note offers a mirror; a reminder that none of us move through the dark alone.

DJ Dreamgirl is a Madison-based DJ and promoter specializing in high-energy house and spiritually-connecting techno. As a resident of the Madison party series JAMS, the host of the mix series Sound Snacks, and the cofounder of the Midwest festival Instar Experience, musical community means everything to her.

To Dreamgirl, techno is about taking a moment of reflection for yourself. Its hypnotic nature pulls you in and invites you to be completely still whilst in the thralls of universal movement. Techno is a healing genre and has a certain unique narrative quality about it that is reflective of the death and rebirth of the very soul. As a practicing eclectic witch herself, Dreamgirl connects deeply.

Through this mix Dreamgirl invites you to take a meditative moment to move however feels right. Take up space and feel mother earth around you. Sit with your soul and breathe in all that is good about this life. Exhale whatever the music is telling you to. It’s that simple.

Prided on respect for and understanding of the roots of various genres of electronic music, sound culture, and electronic music culture, Vortices aims to open a seamless stream of portals that interconnect a variety of genres, ultimately arriving at the point of convergence. 

Vortices pulses as an epicenter of creation, where each track, transition, and dancefloor serve as a gateway to another dimension. The sound doesn’t just move; it pulls, seduces, coils, and transports, guiding dancers through hidden corridors in which time interfolds. Underneath its midnight veil, Vortices, without fail, offers a warm embrace and safe space that continues to deliver listeners and attendees into more curious, unseen spaces - requesting of them intentional attunement to their experience of the present moment. Stepping into a Vortex is a ritual of passage, a weaving of frequencies that opens pathways between worlds, all connected by rhythm’s gravitational pull. Not Your Average Rabbit Hole.
