Votum is not only concerned with sound though. The band pay the utmost attention to song lyrics which, like the music, function as a sort of a binding material for the compositions. In addition, rich visual setting is provided by Mindfield Art Group and serves as a background for the pieces. The merging of music, lyrics and visual art work, as well as the ensuing emotional expression, have been the key concepts for the creation of the new album. Our main concern is not any particular style of music, but the atmosphere pouring out of it.

European premiere of the Metafiction album 25.04.2010.

Metafiction premiere in the USA & Canada. 06.2010.

“Stranger than fiction” from the album “Metafiction” hits the 1st place on “Turbo Top” list on the Polish biggest rock stations, and stays there for the next 3 months.

Votum plays on the Metal Hammer Festival 2010 with Korn, Opeth, Katatonia, Pain of Salvation, Riverside, Juorjin.

Votum plays on the  Inorock 2010 with Anathema, Ozric Tentacles, Airbag.

2009:

over 80+ gigs.

„The Pun” as the 3rd best song in the 2009, chosen by the listeners of the English radio station - European Klassik Radio.

23 November 2009 Polish premiere of the second, conceptual album : "Metafiction" Distributed by the Mystic Production.

2006 - Recording 3-song single "Jestem", distributed with the Heavy Metal Pages magazine.

2003 - Adam Kaczmarek & Aleksander Salamonik forms the band.
