So happy to be welcoming ĀBNAMĀ  ( @abnama ) to the Animix series for number thirty-nine! The incredibly genre-diverse Berlin based DJ is a co-organiser of DUMP, a queer rave that celebrated it's fifth year of life in 2020. Also a resident of another iconic Berlin queer party, Climax, she has been a feature of many euphoric nights in the Berlin queer underground. 

From the other side of the world, i've been enjoying her mixes for quite some time now, and I'm so happy to have her as part of the mix series.

We caught up with the g himself for a lil chat about his recent BP record & the mix, check it below! >


AM: How you doing mate? What have ya been up to recently? 

Helloo life has been pretty mad lately, I've just loved to London and am working full time alongside a masters degree


AM: Tell us a little about the mix, how and where did you record it? 

This is a collection of eyes down ambient and downtempo hehe few unreleased bits from me and friends within and I wanted to let the tracks breathe a bit, pieced together in transit on my laptop whilst my life was in boxes 


AM: We’re big fans of your recent release with BP, what was the process behind it?

 Thank you! it's a collection of tracks made towards the end of my time in Bristol and the release came about pretty organically through talking with DJ Autumn. Most tracks were done on the fly so it was more a case of letting the sounds do the worldbuilding rather than going in with a concept but I'm v happy with them all packaged together in the endಠ‿ಠ


AM: What have you been digging & listening to recently?

3XL crew, Murmurs crew, all the weirdo ambient crowd, also lots of minimal recently wth?


AM: What’s next for ya?

Just got masters for my next record back, new ANE in the pipeline, getting stuck in with London and also trying to grow a moustache ☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ
