Vox Maris Band, established in 2010, is a Chicago based American-Transylvanian pop rock band, bringing to the stage an eclectic sound from the mysterious land of Transylvania combined with the American Classic Rock with cover songs from Bon Jovi, AC DC, Mark Cohen, Aerosmith, Guns’n Roses as well as a special flavor of Romanian Rock bands as Iris, Compact, Phoenix Transylvania.
The five members of the band were brought together by their passion for music, through which they chose to express a wide array of emotions connected to the fast pace of the American life. Those emotions came through in the band’s own composed songs, which will be gathered on an album to be released in the fall of 2015.
The Band Members are :Dan Paduraru, (lead vocal), Adrian Nechiti (guitar), Stefan Cristoltean(guitar and piano), Dragos Boscoianu (bass) and Dan Rizo (drums), are the “band of brothers” as they are known among their fan base.
The band had several concerts throughout the US, invited by prominent members from the Romanian community in Portland, Houston as well as locally, here in Chicago, where they are well received at festivals organized by a Romanian community numbering around 150,000 people. On the 2014 edition of Six Corners Rib Fest, the band was cheered on by a public leasantly surprised by the fresh and energetic flavor brought forth by their music.
Written press and several radio stations took note of the band’s energy and started promoting their music, locally, nationally and overseas. Given the strong chemistry among the members of the band, the future looks very promising for Vox Maris Band. A tour on several US cities (New York, Washington DC, Cleveland, Detroit) is being contemplated, in conjunction with the release of a new album. Several opportunities are being discussed also as a result of the cooperation with Gravity Studios in Chicago for future production of the band’s 1st album. Our motto for our music is: Bring good energy to the public and the public will give it back to you. All together we shall have fun!
