With many big solo releases under his belt gaining support from the likes of Noisia, Skrillex, Enei, Kasra, S.P.Y and many more big names in the scene; he has also remixed and worked with the likes of SASASAS & Top Cat. Focusing on the party, Harley D's music is made for the rave and we expect everyone to hear his music throughout the year at festivals, parties and all things underground!

VOXI || LIQUICITY FESTIVAL 2023

With roots that began as a place to support emerging DJ talent during lockdown, Phase Records has matured into an impressive new-gen D&B monster in recent years.

Founded and fired up by London-based artist Gabby Gifta, first came the Phase events, then came the free downloads before the brand levelled up to a fully-paid label last September.

10 months later, the label is now seven full releases deep. The latest landed last week courtesy of Xyde. Gifta joins him on the lead track Blink State. To celebrate the release Gifta has delivered an hour of future-focused dark drum & bass funk.

Flipping between minimal, neuro and jump-up at a rate of knots, Gifta describes the high energy fusion as ‘scatimal’. We described it as vibes. Press play and feel free to tell us how you’d describe it. First, read on and find out where Gifta is at half way through 2023:

With an incisive passion for the dark side, Identity Records founder Adam Henton aka DIS:TURBED has been systematically laying down his signature style of disturbing Dnb, bringing along a slew of like-minded artists via his label's output. While the energy he evokes is negative based, there is always a solid rhythm and flow that drives the music forward: it is often upbeat and focuses on the stripped back aesthetic. Using a minimal amount of instruments along with layers processed with extreme pressure, he has forged a unique sound best described as a dark toned chest-heavy vibe.

The Quarry Guest Mix - SUB-ANTICS

Here we are! The first instalment of our awesome Women In drum and Bass mix series. We have started this to showcase some of the vast amount of talented women have in the scene. We have compiled eight talented artists from around the world to showcase their taste style and love for this music.

Our first instalment is from the power house energy queen herself GIFTA! We are such big fans of this incredible person, from running a label (phase records) to shelling out E1 as part of Hospital's Foundations and Future showcase, she can do it all and wow does she do it well!

     Gifta is a French Drum and Bass DJ and producer based in London. She is inspired by the energetic and aggressive side of the genre; sitting between techy, neuro rollers and skatty minimal influences. Her production is recognised through her tight, rolling drum work and strong basses, bringing the hard hitting energy she enjoys to the forefront of her sound. The same vibes are replicated in her DJ sets and mixes. Additionally, she founded her own record label: Phase Records DNB, in the summer of 2020 which has quickly established itself as a well loved label on the up and coming circuit. This year she is being mentored by the great Hospital Records for their business development scheme.

Women in DnB Mix Series - 01 GIFTA

AKL DNB Mix Sesh // KENZO

Kenzo, a talented 23-year-old DJ from Auckland, New Zealand, burst onto the scene in December 2021, quickly gaining recognition in the local drum and bass community. Her sets feature a skillful blend of sub-genres, with this mix having a focus on minimal and techy tracks. Kenzo's intricate drum patterns, deep basslines, and experimental sound design keep her dedicated following engaged, making her a prominent figure in the New Zealand DnB scene.

VOXI’s DJ career took off last year after winning Liquicity's DJ contest in 2022. Since then, she has played often at iconic events, including Liquicity, Blackout, Rolling in the Deep, Cheeky Monday and even in Bristol, UK. She shared stages with Andy C, Monrroe, Black Sun Empire, Nymfo, Technimatic, Serum. Her style can best be described as techy, dark and minimal, rollers, with breaks here and there.

VOXI is ex-cofounder of FLUX/X, a DJ collective which aims to encourage inclusivity within the drum & bass scene. After leaving FLUX/X, VOXI joined Curated By and leads the marketing of the events they are hosting. She is also working closely with Nymfo's label LFLF and TRIBE. She recently announced her first documentary short film about LFLF which is set to appear in May 2024.

VOXI has been collaborating with Felov, Carrier, Abstract, Hidden Circuit, Arcturius, Flexusz and Rayven Lux and is currently taking the first steps into the world of production.
