Known for his innovative approach, characterised by a fusion of pad-driven harmonies, intricate breaks and an industrial tone. Born in the East German town of Fürstenwalde, his musical roots were planted deep during a transformative period marked by the fall of the Berlin Wall when he was just 9 years old. Growing up alongside Marcel Dettmann and Marcel Fengler, he explored Berlin's dynamic post-reunification club scene and began mixing vinyls from Hardwax and Delirium which contributed to the development of his signature sound, a blend of jungle, drum 'n' bass, Detroit, IDM and UK bass.

Released over 4 separate EP’s, the colossal 20 track VA offers an unfeigned collection of the finest that hard techno has to offer, from 19 artists plus a new collab from Rebekah.

In the realm where the underground's most unyielding boundaries meet, Rebekah introduces ‘GO HARD OR GO HARDCORE’: a movement that pays homage to a 30-year legacy of Hardcore whilst fusing the raw intensity of Hard Techno’s most futuristic sounds.

For over 15 years Rebekah has relentlessly championed the sounds of the underground’s most ferocious elements. As an outlet for releases, events, mixes and exclusive collaborations, GO HARD OR GO HARDCORE embodies Rebekah’s unyielding artistic vision and carves a path for future generations of artists to further delve into Techno’s most unrelenting subgenres.

To be released on the 12 th April, Part 3 invites CHAST feat. ABP, a rising star from Paris who’s released on Elements before. His track ‘Call The Police’ employs a contrasting vocal sample over hard grooves and whirling sirens.

Manchester’s Gemma Furbank has been known for her tough techno and is also a resident for the long-respected Orbit in Leeds. ‘FCK FSM’ uses a clattering tom drum before introducing a rattling, snaking percussion over a sandstorm of whirling, pulsing musicality. Krista Bourgeois is a fully live artist using modular based in Berlin, but from the US. Her abrasive and unapologetic sound drenched in corrosive grit is displayed perfectly in ‘Riding With Death.

Vocal samples are prevalent throughout GHOGH and most definitely on Lady Mura’s standout track ‘Chaotic Vision’. The Italian who is now based in Berlin is an electronic producer and post punk musician. A noise guitarist in a punk band, her DJ career started some years later.

Lastly, Milan based Italian artist Reevoid closes with ‘Flippin’’ a title that succinctly sums up the stripped back cartwheeling rhythm, outlandish drum fills and explicit vocal content that make up the Vol.3’s finale.

A resident of Berlin’s long-running Gegen, a multifaceted queer techno and performance art event, Samantha Togni has seen her profile rising with appearances on Mixmag’s Lab series in London and a heavy release schedule on established and upcoming labels: Stay Up Forever, Noise Manifesto, her own Boudica, and others, quickly accumulating a significant discography since her 2019 debut. Her latest is the Lunaversal EP on Rant & Rave, representing another edgy release from upcoming female techno talent. It leads off with the title track, not exactly as cosmic as implied with buried, indecipherable vocals and buzzsaw synth riffs seesawing between intermittent breakdowns which only serve to increase tension ‘Minor Goddess’ takes an old school rave approach with abrasive, rising stabs and dissected vocals against a hammering framework of kicks and crushing bass pressure. With its lilting ambient chopped vocal samples slightly counterbalancing the surging forward motion of the rhythm, ‘Pit of Truth’ hits deeper, but the pit in the title obviously leans more towards dungeon or grave. ‘Jesters Have Heart Too’ rubs unstable synth sweeps against blasts of industrial noise and jackhammer percussion, reaching peak intensity in its brutally chopped final run.

We know it. You know it. Alignment is here to stay. Delivering the next round of high quality tracks on vinyl for VN043, his „Orderly Chaos“ EP mirrors our suspicious times like nothing else but techno can. 

With its main title „Orderly Chaos“ consisting of well balanced leads chasing a never ending drum programming, the consistent kick drum does what its used to do: thumping your already vibrating stomach. An early classic already, with a reasoned arrangement attached. 

We’re about to enter quicker territories on A2 by the name of „Future Dancefloor“. Clearly focussed on satisfying the biggest sound systems around, once possible again. For the time being, a forward moving rhythm infiltrates small vocal hits on this one, piercing the perfect state of rave. 

„Into The Unknown“ follows this mantra perfectly. Detailed synth placements evolve a steadily riding hi-hat shuffle, incorporating the flowing drumming which comes with it. On top of it, energising pad lines do their thing in catching us during a perfect breakdown. 

Second b-side flip is „Dark Space“, with the name saying it all. A distinctively darker sound atmosphere is paired with modulated patterns, systematically pushing the groove underneath. It’s a next stage of production class, with harmonic elements driving one’s imagination further. A perfect closing for your next, physical music purchase.
