From Salta La Macchia, the victorious horse in the Il Palio di Siena on August 16, 1704,
To Antonino Saltalamacchia, who sailed to the New World and made his bones under New York City rooftops —
To me — Joseph Saltalamacchio, a stage performer, medicine maker, and proud descendant,
To my daughter — a teacher, the bell-ringer of tomorrow…

This is our relay song, passed down by hoof, hand, and harmony.

The name Saltalamacchia made headlines as the longest surname in Major League Baseball,
but it made history long before that — on the cobbled streets of Siena, where a wild horse named “Jumps The Bushes” ran to glory.

Our ancestors crossed oceans, laid bricks, delivered bread, sang under streetlights, and climbed up rooftops —
all so future generations could stand under spotlights, in classrooms, on mountaintops... and sing.

This song is a tribute to the uncles who shaped me with equal parts grit, humor, mystery, and heart. They gave me wisdom long before I knew I’d need it, truth wrapped in love, and lessons that still echo through my days.

This one isn’t just mine it’s ours. I wrote it for every woman who’s ever been silenced, dismissed, or made to feel small. For every survivor who swallowed her scream because the world said her pain was too loud. Expose the Coward is female rage in its purest form not chaos, but clarity. The moment you stop pretending it didn’t happen.

It’s not about revenge it’s about revelation. It’s the collective voice of every woman who’s ever been hurt and told to “get over it.” Every line drips with the truth we were told to hide. Every note is defiance.

He thought he broke her.
He didn’t.
She just stopped protecting his reputation.
