'DRED STONE LIBERATION MIXES' Inspired by Johns words on the series... "Mixes to liberate you from the daily drudgery" The selection was an attempt to contrast two or more quite different genres throughout a mix. Genres that both have a strong effect on the listener in terms of 'liberation' but that do so for different reasons. The end result of part 1 is a juxtapose of past and future... 60's/70's soundtrack and library music with contemporary electronic music.
This mix is the first part of a trilogy which attempts to explore juxtapositions of different genres that MadderModes are interested in and inspired by.

@chris-dammeyer: VOYAGES SESSION 13 is a tribute to the pioneers and current-day ambient musicians of Japan, including Haruomi Hosono, Hiroshi Yoshimura, Ryuchi Sakamoto, Seigen Ono, Geinoh Yamashirogumi, and more. A story told in the Japanese Kishōtenketsu narrative style, each of the four acts of this mix progress in the Joh-ha-kyū method of Japanese Gagaku court music: “beginning, break, rapid.”
