Pan-Pot are back, this time with the Cells EP on their newly formed label, Second State. The new label sees Pan-Pot taking full creative control as they move into the second phase of their career, and both Cells and Third Eye are keen indicators that the pair are starting a new chapter of their sonic journey.

Third Eye was born out of Pan-Pot’s urge to create a track with a driving, hypnotic bassline. As a result, Third Eye makes its way into your head as listeners instantly get hooked on the bassline, but it’s not until the arp changes that things really start getting weird and fun.

The title track Cells was built around the synthline after it caught Pan-Pot right from the beginning. Similar to a cell starting in its simplest form and expanding, the track builds into a peak of full dynamic and volume and is packed with a variety of frequencies.

MARK REEVE | Dice Remixes Part 1

Soma welcome back stalwart Mark Reeve for the first in a two part series that sees his classic track Dice given the 2014 update work. Dice stormed on to the techno scene almost 2 years ago and was one that helped propel Mark into the limelight. He has since gone on to record for Cocoon, Drumcode and of course Soma since then, all big room smashers. 

Who best to open these reworks than Mark himself. While staying true to what made the original such a hit, Mark has actually managed to make this track even BIGGER. Heavy subs and a thumping kick drive this even more as the quirky vocal cut chops through the groovy percussion.

Swedish duo Manic Brothers step with their interpretation of Dice and easily make this own. They hit the dance floor with all guns blazing as a thunderous groove pile-drives home and one almighty break gives this version real power. 

This is big room Techno at its baddest!

He Is The Voice I Hear’ is my first all new work since “Lady Of Sorrows.” It’s been a long journey from there to here. I’m so thrilled to continue the story and finally realize my dream of bringing together an ensemble of live musicians.

This record was a joy to create with my engineering and production partner, Rupert Murray, Davide Rossi on strings and Christoforo LaBarbera on keys. The vinyl was mastered and cut by Tim Xavier for Manmade Mastering.  We’ve also put some special touches into the design of the record itself. 

Incredible thanks to Adam Rowe, Andrew Gordon, Jake Nelson and everyone that helped make this record possible at all.

"I wanted to do something exclusive, so basically this is a mix with mostly unreleased tracks and remixes. I recorded this with the gear in my studio and multitracks from my songs. I recorded it on to my Studer A80 master recorder to add a bit of dusty noise and stuff."
