You wake up on a desert night. The wind whispers, there are sounds of a crackling fire but the night is pitch black.In the distance you hear a pulse, a beat, a faint cry of a guitar. Your feet move towards this desert concert but it is unapproachable and omnipresent, the closer you get the more remote it becomes.

Your mind starts to wander, drifting off and searching for that sound. The desert flips on its head like an hourglass and responds: Fata Morgana.

We present to you the debut single Fata Morgana by Moonwax, the new electronic live act from Amsterdam. This release comes to you with 3 steaming remixes by no one less then unders, Timboletti and KRAUT.

I believe it's difficult to understand the emotions of a Dj mix through a computer or headphones without the energy of the dance floor, but I want to share this with you all because this last weekend in London was one of the best evenings I have ever experienced.

Real name Olivier Mateu, Rodriguez Jr. has become synonymous with deep driving house and untamed melodic creativity. Drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as Stockhausen, LFO, Carl Craig, Eric Satie, and Kraftwerk, Mateu’s unique style has prompted releases on Mobilee, Systematic, and Watergate Records, and over 130 releases in the Beatport Top 100. His remix of Eli & Fur’s ‘Night Blooming Jasmine’ saw huge industry support from the likes of Tiesto, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, and Jason Bentley.

‘Phoenix / Amergosa’ sees Rodriguez Jr.’s characteristic swirling analogue synths thread through dark arrangements of groove-heavy basslines and thumping drums.

Sumo was an Argentine post-punk and reggae band, formed in 1981, in the city of Nono in the mountains of Cordoba / Argentina and then transferred to Hurlingham, where he achieved fame. It was dissolved in early 1988. Over the years, the success of his career, made him become one of the most influential groups of Argentine and Latin American rock.

This is a humble tribute of Argentine producers trying to put current sounds to the group's creations.

Sumo fue una banda argentina de post-punk y reggae, formada en el año 1981, en la ciudad de Nono en las sierras de Córdoba/Argentina y luego trasladada a Hurlingham, donde alcanzó la fama. Fue disuelta a principios de 1988. Con el pasar de los años, el éxito de su trayectoria, hizo que se convierta en uno de los grupos más influyentes del rock argentino y latinoamericano.

Este es un humilde homenaje de productores de Uruguay y Argentina intentando poner sonidos actuales a las creaciones del grupo.

Release Info: 
EDGE begins their 2020 journey with a much-anticipated collaboration from Hermanez and Eran Aviner. Hailing from Belgium and making his label debut is Hermanez. Initially known for his timeless, tech-soul productions on Mobilee Records, Noir Music and Suara, the Genk resident has enjoyed a career renaissance in recent years, remodelling his sound with deeper, more musical and wonderfully organic leanings. It's a shift that has landed him releases on the movement's premiere imprints, most notably All Day I Dream, Lost & Found, Shanti Radio Moscow and TRYBESof. Also laying claim to an impressive discography is EDGE co-founder Eran Aviner. The Belgian artist has showcased his music on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, while also being regarded as one of his country's most astute DJs. Having worked together once previously on a chart topping remix for Sound Avenue, Hermanez and Eran now present their debut EP via EDGE entitled 'Arias'.

Beginning what promises to be a fruitful year for both artists are the pure progressive sensibilities of 'Aria'. Captivating from the start, it's perfectly sculpted beats are warm and powerful, anchoring what is a rippling, free flowing foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are blanketed with textural drifts, ghostly pads and fragmented melodies. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with hazy harmonic concepts and metallic melodies uniting for an exhilarating crescendo, before ushering in a groovy drop and hypnotic finale.

The journey continues with the reflective moods of 'Storyteller'. Nicely tied to the ethos of the EP, Hermanez and Eran marry haunting vocal refrains with meditative rhythms and tranquil textures. It's a spiritual and highly engaging storyboard, perhaps the EP's most impassioned in fact, a creation for the road home and no doubt a highly memorable selection for your dance floor.

The release is capped off in fine fashion with the chunky vibes of 'First Touch'. Immediately compelling, it's shapely bass tones and dynamic percussion play off a robust rhythmic core, making for a smooth, hip swinging groove. Its musical appeal grows subtly, as pixie-like motifs and luminous tones add an emotive slant to what is an already magical storyboard. Expertly timed, it's chugging energy melts down into a break of effervescent lines and shifty harmonics, building into a wall of melodic colour, before getting washed away in a rush of beats and percussion for a charming third movement. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an exceptional collection of music from Hermanez and Eran, one which sees the duo's creative synergy continue to grow.

Germain virtuoso Tim Engelhardt is back to Eleatics and this time with a full release. Having remixed 'Gypsy' by The Organism last year for us, Tim is returning back with 'Sun' EP consisting of two beautiful compositions by Tim.
Main titled 'Sun' is the elegant melodic symphony.
Lyric, dramatic and intriguing: these are the words, which are the best describing the mood of the track, which is drawing the autumn mood so so precisely and accurately.
Fur Coat are taking their 'Sun' remix work seriously, as they always do in any production piece their hands touch.
The vigorous bassline in combination with the repetitive leads throughout the dark growling sounds are extracting the dance energy from Tim's original track.
The farther we go, the more energetic it becomes
 'What Drives Us' is the energy essence in sound.
Tight subs' work is moving the flying melodies of Tim to the highest intensity level, where it all cuts at the breakdown with the dissonating bells sounds.
