The song ‘Lie Down In Darkness’ is named after a William Styron book, and the song, at least for me is a very emotional, sort of mournful, piece of symphonic, electronic music, my friend Joy Malcolm sings on it. 

Right before he died I got to hear William Styron speak at a Paris review dinner, he read from Lie Down In Darkness, I was watching him read and it was beautiful and emotional. I remember looking around to see if anyone else was having the same reaction I was having, and I looked around and it was all this jaded, cynical New Yorkers who were checking their blackberries or their iphones, and not paying attention. It made me so disappointed. I was thinking, here is William Styron, who is this remarkable writer and he is sort of bearing his soul and you could tell he didn’t have much longer to live and most of the people were not paying attention. But I feel really fortunate that I got to see him and meet him right before he died.

I decided to do a very interesting experiment in regards of my JoJolion tracks: Legacy Style.

Long story short, Legacy Style referring to my very first interpretation of my JoJolion theme, something that got mixed reviews before the revamp. However, I still felt like that the overall style still had potential, even if the main theme itself was "not fitting", according to many of you.

Think of it as "Gwinn's SBR style but in JoJolion", featuring elements, instrumentation more similar to that project rather than the newly utilized electronic sounding from my JoJolion Soundtrack project.

My JoJolion OST project is more experimental, but also more community-based compared to my previous projects. Expect more collabs, more traditional-esque tracks with some twists here and there. 

I'm not sure how fully-fetched it will be compared to my SBR project, but I hope you'll enjoy the track nonetheless.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is property of Hirohiko Araki, David Productions and Tokyo MX Warner Brothers Entertainment.

Notes: This 7 track session was recorded for the Dermot O'Leary Show on BBC Radio 2, as part of promoting the new Best Of album "Collected". It was recorded on May 15th, but was not broadcast until the 27th that same month. Together with the interview segment, the radio show only broadcast the first 4 tracks that were recorded that day, with Future Proof, Black Melt and Safe From Harm never been broadcast or heard of outside the Maida Vale studio. A previous bootleg of this show only contained the first 4 tracks until now... The primary source for this recording is from an official (and very rare!) CD-R promo produced by Virgin Records, which fills in the gap of the 3 missing tracks recorded in Maida Vale studios that day. It is also an upgrade in quality from the previous bootleg as it is ripped directly from a CD source and not an FM one as before. The only throwback from the previous bootleg is the interview segment.
