Now lets compress the stereo (a.k.a. "push" the sound to center) and add the drum break!

Damn, drum break sounds horrible together with drums from the original sample! Lets apply compressor to the drums of the main tune!

Here is an example of sampling/sound processing/arranging/mixing/mastering techniques. To create the main tune I took samples from "You Made Me So Very Happy" by Lou Rawls and then added the classic drum break from "Get Out Of My Life Woman" by Lee Dorsey.
