DJ Trace has been a household name since the earliest days of rave music. Taking influence from all aspects of UK's underground scenes since the tail end of the 1980's, DJ Trace went on to create the blueprint for many of the sounds you hear in todays D&B / Jungle, Breakbeat and Techno. Seminal classics from his catalogue that can't go without mention include 'Sonar' on Grooverider's Prototype, the massive 'Mutant Revisited', 'Nitrous' with Bad Company UK and 'By Any Means Necessary' on DeeJay Recordings. Recently DJ Trace returned to production with the 'Zone EP' on his DSCI4 imprint, along with another EP, 'Opaque' on CNVX. 

Emery is a master producer and engineer who alongside DJ Trace makes his debut on V with this release. On show here are both his musical skills as well as his sonic prowess as "The Master of Mastering" - the title speaks for itself. He's mixed and mastered for D&B's most elite artists and labels, including Liquicity, Break, Viper, Lenzman, Fokuz, Metalheadz and Paradox to name just a few. 

Joined by Sofi Mari, who more recently featured on Alibi's huge 'Musihertz' from their debut album, DJ Trace & Emery deliver the goods with two brand new tracks on V Recordings. 

Both 'Bliss' and 'Elation' cut deep, with liquid-esque atmospheres floating alongside Sofi Mari's golden vocals. Another highly respectable release to grace V Recordings as we move through 2019 with full charge.

Next up on 4 Corners Music we welcome back ALB, who helped us launch our first ever release with the single
“Jerry’s Trip/Your Eyes’. ALB has been making waves in the scene with features on UKF, BBC Radio1 &amp; 1xtra as
well as releases on Fokuz, Soulvent, Formation &amp; more so we’re excited to have him back representing 4
Corners. 

For 4CM012 he brings us a 4 track EP entitled ‘Movements’ fresh from the Liquid corner of Drum &amp;
Bass. This release is a Beatport exclusive from 6th May and then available on general release from 20th May
2019.
Starting us off we have ‘About U’, a perfect opening track to the EP that builds beautifully with filtered stabs and a
low slung bassline working together thoughtfully - one for the heads who like the long blends. ‘Way U Do’ is next
up and continuing on with the theme of sublime production featuring harmonies that float and flutter across the
track, dancing in the moonlight whilst a war rages under the scorched earth - definitely bittersweet vibes the order
of the day here. Following that we have the title track ‘Movements’, chopped and spliced pianos adding touches
of magic throughout the track adding a touch of timelessness that will sit nicely in any Drum &amp; Bass set featuring
tracks past, present or future. Finally ALB brings ‘What U Need’, again bringing some magic to this EP with
details sprinkled throughout this track keeping things interesting and ultimately very vibesy indeed.

Following on from the impressive success of the Sounds Of The Innerground album, DJ Marky has seen fit to unleash an EP (or mini album) of pure summer jams, just in time for the sun to come out and bless us with its presence!

Featuring on this digital only release we have some of the heavy hitters of recent times with some soulful DnB to keep those long summer nights moving.

Kicking off with one from tried and tested funk duo, DJ Marky & Makoto, and their ode to melodic DnB, "Jazzy". When these guys hit the studio, sparks fly and we can see that in this track, which is the first of two diamonds from the pair. Big beats, guitar riffs and big basslines - what more can you ask for?

Next up, Level 2 with a cheeky number sure to put smiles on faces. It's great to welcome Level 2 back to the fold after his impressive debut "Murder On The Dancefloor" smashed the place apart. With "Love Insane", however, he has shown the deeper side to his nature with more of a lovers track than a dancefloor killer.

Submorphics returns with a trademark sizzler in the shape of "Hazel Street". Anyone who has been to a DJ Marky show recently will have heard this one on heavy rotation because it's a track so soulful it hurts! Beautiful male vocals layered over some gentle keys - perfect for a lazy day watching the sun go down.

T>I has really gone about establishing himself in the Innerground stable, and here he comes correct again with a well measured track that gives the whole EP a new dynamic. T>I really has an ear for the staccato beats and an enticing bassline, and here in "Reassurance" we can hear it in all its glory.

The penultimate track is another DJ Marky & Makoto collaboration, "Konfused". The name of the track is apt, as it drifts from the sound DJ Marky & Makoto fans are accustomed to, to a more dramatic bassline before lilting back to the magical keywork you'd be expecting in the breakdown. 

And finishing things off we have Austria's finest, Roy Green & Protone featuring the vocal skills of Dorian and their track "Watch Me". A gentle roller this one, that shows off all the finer sides of the DnB genre and the real depth of audio range that can be achieved when it is done properly. A bit of sax always goes down nicely ina track like this and when the bassline hits it really packs some punch!
