Our clear commitment to bringing bright new talent to the forefront continues as we proudly welcome two of Drum & Bass’s best rising stars to the Dispatch Ltd Imprint. 

This time we bring two of Southampton’s finest Gerra & Stone to the label with the release of DISLTD010 featuring both tracks  “Back Hand” & “Tenfold”.

Gerra and Stone have over the last two years rapidly proven themselves through their steady output of great music and production capability, which in turn has quickly amassed them an ever increasing loyal fan base, gained releases across a multitude of labels and a packed gig schedule which has seen them tear down some of the best clubs and festivals across Europe.

Both “Back Hand” & “Tenfold” exemplify this capability using their signature sound of stripped out deepness to issue two phenomenal tracks that prove just how talented the duo are.

Release on release the pair continue on a journey which juggernauts from strength to strength along the way.  Each Gerra and Stone release demonstrates a continual evolution as they master their craft and fine-tune their style whilst at the same time rapidly building a greatly accomplished and well received back catalogue, a back catalogue that we are here very pleased to add to on Dispatch Ltd.

Sao Paulo born Fabio Araujo Faria (Simplification) is no stranger to V Recordings having already released on Liquid V, Chronic and featured on our collaborative project with SUNANDBASS, Viva Brazil. Adding to his impressive list of releases on labels such as Innerground, Good Looking and Hospital Recordings, he’s kicking off 2019 with his first full release on V Recordings; Hold On EP. 

Every release from Brazil brings nothing but heat, and this is certainly no exception. Fabio’s varied bag of influences includes artists such as Stevie Wonder, DJ Zinc, Cypress Hill and Dillinja, and this all come together in this release. From the dark, sub-rattling track ‘Analogy’, all the way through to the title track ‘Hold On’, an uplifting amen roller. The EP also features collaborations with L-Side and Translate, adding two more heavy hitting tracks into the pot. As with every producer coming out of Brazil currently, Simplification is one to watch.

After a two year hiatus, Bristol-based Hugh Hardie returns with 13-stunning tracks on his second studio album, ‘Shadows & Silhouettes’. After the success of the ‘Colourspace’ LP, he’s continued to develop his drum & bass style, producing a plethora of beautiful summer liquid, slick drumfunk and smooth down-tempo beats. He’s teamed up with the high-rising talents Pola & Bryson, Silence Groove and Unglued, as well as singer-songwriters Emer Dineen, Cimone, Robert Manos and Charlie Brix.

Kicking things off is a glistening dose of summer soul, ‘Raindrops’ featuring London-based singer/songwriter Cimone. Calling back to the Hospital loungecore sound, this stunning liquid roller brings untold levels of elegancy with soothing piano and that feel-good flavour Hugh Hardie is loved for.

Another shade of Hugh Hardie’s latest musical design is ‘Resistance’. An unlikely pairing with Hospital’s young wildcard Unglued but this drum-heavy dancefloor monster has all the stand-out trimmings of a jungle banger with skittering synths and warped vocal cuts.

Back down the path of soul-filled drum & bass is ‘Endless’ featuring Emer Dineen, a voice recognised for her many features on London Elektricity’s own productions. Plus there’s ‘Negomi’, with its funky bassline riff and east-asian inspired string work.

In addition to an impressive array of solo D+B productions, ‘Shadows & Silhouettes’ also sees a special feature from Shogun Audio’s Pola & Bryson on ‘Siren’. Together they’ve created a real stand out moment of the album with this captivating garage / breaks 130BPM road trip.

Available across digital and streaming platforms, CD, and 2x12” transparent hot-fuschia and ocean-blue coloured vinyl, with artwork design from fellow Cambridge turned Bristol-based artist, Mr Penfold.

Irish Drum & Bass veteran Zero T returns to Amsterdam imprint The North Quarter with his “Former Self EP”. Following up from his ambitious multi-genre project “Baby Grand”, Zero T now strips things down to a focused five-track project that manoeuvres through a broad range of styles within Drum & Bass. From his Soulful reinterpretation of Mango x MathMan's “Lonely Night” to the dubbed out weight of “Clash” - with Bristol-based rising producer Myth - this is a well balanced EP that displays Zero T's expansive vision and is a testimony to his growth as a producer and technician.

"I had a number of aims with my second EP for The North Quarter” Zero T explains. “While my first release 'Baby Grand' was an opportunity to explore working in different styles of music and utilising live instrumentation, I wanted this second release to be stripped back to basics: five Drum & Bass tracks that cover the spectrum of what I like within this music. There's two vocal tunes in the classic 'Liquid' style, one tune that could easily be described as Jump Up, a Dub/Jungle influenced track with Myth and finally what I would call a “listening track"; something not necessarily designed for DJs/clubs. If someone wants to know what I stand for, then this release says it all."
