Beneath the roots of forgotten runes, where no light clings and the bone of the world lies bare,
I tore my name from the tongue of stars and fed it to the hungering dark.
And in that silence, swollen with storm and ash, a thousand eyes opened in the moss, none mine, all watching what I had become.
