This is my contribution to "Los Insurgentes Tienen Razon" pt 1. VA published by OSM tapes with an aim to raise funds to support front-line activists in Colombia.
Colombia is in a state of emergency, with its people being victims of the oppression and corruption inflicted by the State. People have been suffering due to the excessive abuse caused by the different reforms (tax, health) the current government has planned to implement in our country, and began protesting on April 28th. 
Since then, many Colombians have been injured, and even murdered, by the use of excessive force the military and the ESMAD (riot police) have engaged in.
This V.A. is a collaboration among international artists and all profits will be donated to Red Condor Collective.

My track "High Octane Heart" is an (almost) kickless and more experimental one, with distortions, noises, resonants, and agony.

This track is all about story telling - with a beginning, a climax and an ending. I truly enjoyed the freedom of expression in this one. Starting from crisp sounds and low-end melodies, building it up with more drums and rhythmic elements.

VRGN - Robin

Brimming with curiosity and passion for electronic music, Virginia aka VRGN (pronounced Virgin) started DJing in 2018 to simply express herself through the music she loves and share all the feelings it creates.

Within that time VRGN has already played in some of the biggest clubs in the Greek scene such as Gazi Music Hall, Steam, six d.o.g.s., 01:Athens, David bar and more, sharing the decks with both Greek DJs and international ones such as ONYVAA, Locked Groove, Temporary Permanence, Arah and Mateo.

She also played a very intriguing B2B set with Fo at the first edition of Sonar festival in Athens, as #HER, a new music platform dedicated to empowering women in the Greek electronic music industry.

Hovering among heavy basses, techno grooves and trippy melodies, her sets always have a story to tell and she creates different emotional states based on the vibes, space, and mood. Undeniably, she is an upcoming talent to watch, currently focusing on her productions.
