Let’s be honest, Kid Kenobi has always been about the party! Back in the olden days (when he first started DJing) he would throw down sets of early breakbeat mixed with party hip hop, old school rave, and jungle. Though he’s journeyed near and far in search of the perfect beat, the close of 2013 sees the Kid going back to his roots and bringing some of that early flavour back! ‘I want to write the kind of music I actually like to DJ: fun, bouncy, party music! I want there to be less of a gap between my studio and my dancefloor,’ he says. With that in mind comes his latest jam ‘Bounce!’, featuring the equally old school party talents of legendary US rapper Bam of the Jungle Brothers. It’s party time, 2014 styleee! On the remix tip comes Orkestrated, Burgs & Reecey Boi, COMBO!, Alex Preston, and Myli D, as well as the Kid himself with a special party-trap VIP mix.

Just when you thought we’d abandoned tough ass bass music, well, guess who’s making their debut on Klub Kids? That’s right, Sydney electro house and bass duo the Audiobotz! After having delivered some first class remixes of Aquasky and RESET! for us, these two bass boffins are back to to do more damage with the aptly titled single ‘Robotic Bass’. And yep, you guessed it, true to its name ‘Robotic Bass’ hits hard with some heavyweight digital bass, vocoded vocals, and killer synth lines. Oh, and did we mention the fat as fark half time breakdown? On remix duties for this one comes a fresh cast of international bass stars! Kicking off proceedings is our Aussie homie Burgs who delivers one of his freshest bounce mixes to date. Hi! Check out my newest #Bigroom track I'm giving up for free!
Main focus on this one was to make it as #energetic as possible. Breakdown has its own #cinematic feeling and is the main reason why the track is called #Aviator cause when I was producing it I had a picture in my head of an airport and people working on it to prepare airplanes for start. After this cinematic buildup we have an #anthemic melody to make people put their hands in air and of course a drop which I'm really proud of cause it properly releases the tension created in the breakdown. To keep things interensting I also added some harmonics to the bassdrum and now it has this hardstyle flavour and power. 
Overall the track is made in traditional #bigroom fashion to make it easily playable on #big dancefloors but I also put a lot of effort on sound design to make in sound non generic. With that approach I think I created nice balance between being focused on #dancefloor impact and being fresh with sound.
