@geoffreylarue is a non-binary visual artist and record collector from Detroit, Michigan who is currently based in Berlin. When playing sets like this, Geoffrey likes to utilize costume design strongly rooted in 70s/80s gay American iconography in order to summon the amyl spirits of clubs such as Trocadero Transfer and 12 West, which is to say that they DJ without a shirt. This is occasionally considered controversial for some reason.

It demands the type of trust that nurtures complicity and the type of coordination that depends on a lot of factors, the main one being intimacy. But music has this power of synchronization that can be hardly achieved through any other form of expression and is the main reason why and how this collective can do what they do in such a unique manner. The quartet and label known as Bongosynth takes full advantage of this harmonic quality that rhythms and melodies have of putting us in consonance whenever we play or enjoy any musical artifact. And this mix gives delightful evidence of what makes the curatorial capacity of this ensemble something so special as they take us through two intense hours of relentless groove-weaving across a spectacularly diverse soundscape.

bestofclaudia is a show about my everyday life. The good, the bad and the ugly. My life does not resume to partying, when not dancing I like to talk about the serious things in life and have honest conversations about whatever fact of life comes up. Music is my lifetime savior and best buddy I could find. We are really fortunate with so much beautiful music out there, it’s only up to us to discover it.

On this show, you’ll listen to all sorts of music, I like cheesy, I like rap, I like electronic music, deep voices and squeaky voices too. Always touched by deep or dreamy sounds and in love with cowbell and whistling. Which I’m not able to do. But, with or without whistling skills, it’s only with love and acceptance that we can get by. On earth we're briefly gorgeous, as Ocean Vuong simply put it. Through music we can make the best of it.
