The past few months have seen little posted work from me.  Sometimes in life you have plenty of choices to make and bumps in the road, and these can make your soul feel confused..  Lost.

For a long time now I've struggled with the idea of mainstream music.  Much of what you hear is recycled and stagnant, and I have never been one to support this mob mentality.

The problem was, I myself was falling into the trap of producing much of the same.  I was losing touch of who I was, and why I got into producing/playing music in the first place.  For those who know my true story, my friends all pushed me to write and DJ.  I have never been in it for the fame and fortune.

That said, music without an audience is as satisfying as winning the super bowl with no fans, painting like rembrandt to simply hang on your fridge, or  engineering a car that runs on water for personal use only.

Music is meant to be shared in much the same way.

Many of you know that I have been experimenting with other genres as well as ghostwriting for a few upcomers in areas uninvolved with Vrtra and what I am trying to portray Vrtra as.

Today I unveil the last of the aliases I wish to produce under.  While I still reserve the right to ghostwrite and experiment..  There are only 3 genres I've found I want to express myself with:  Trap (Hamsterdam), Electro/Melbourne House (Vrtra), and this final alias destined to be Deep/Underground/Experimental House (Azal).

I always intended Vrtra to have a black/white motif.  Vrtra will be more of the white, uplifting, main room house..  While Azal in contrast will be the black, deep, darker stuff you'd want to hear in an afterhours setting.

I haven't set up the accounts yet, because it took a fair amount of soul searching to come up with these concepts, but now that I have decided this is the route I want to take as an artist, I finally feel like all my music will have purpose and a place.

I appreciate you reading this until the end, one of the things I feel music is really lacking nowadays is soul..  purpose..  I went through a fair amount of ups and downs in my journey as a musician, and that's what I think making music is all about.. at least for me.
