"Freddy Fender" is inspired by the early Mexican-American Tejano rock and roller of the same name and is featured on Freddy Trujillo's Luther Russell-produced album "Amexica" due out in September 2014. Full of psychedelic Chicano rock, the Portland-based Trujillo calls it: "The New Brown Soul."
