vs.Mode are two best friends who hail from South London and who love making music and DJing together, it’s that simple. A welcomed distraction from their life-long Street Fighter rivalry. 

Their first release as a duo under their monikers Elijah Collins and Nist, ‘Love’s Down’ on Mullet Records, had huge global success, placing highest at number 2 in the Beatport Nu-Disco chart and remaining in the top ten for an astounding 7 months, as well as gaining huge support from the likes of Airplane and Solomun. 
Having grown up listening and loving all genres of music through the decades, the boys wanted an outlet for the darker sides and began to create techno with rolling house grooves manifested from their inner raging demon. 
vs.Mode was officially formed.

Still in their infancy, vs.Mode have created their own style and groove, which incorporates a hybrid of genres but always with the focus of the beats being on the techno spectrum. Their studio sessions typically contain vigorous fist pumping and booty shaking which translates into their music, after all, that’s what it’s all about.

vs.Mode’s debut EP ‘Retired Dreams’, signed by prestigious London based label Lower East really showcased their breadth and ability. The three track EP provided different sounds that attracted a wide audience and gained them notoriety amongst their peers.
Championed by When We Dip and by numerous DJ’s, including radio play on Shadow Child’s show on Rinse FM, the success of the EP has since lead to two licensing deals with label giants Material Records and Toolroom.

First and foremost, they are friends having fun and their energy and enthusiasm is infectious whether they are behind or in front of the decks… What’s a party if you can’t dance your arse off? It’s this attitude and genuine nature that makes them stand out. 

This really is just the beginning of their journey and they are grateful to be able to do what they love and make music.
