This track is my interpretation of Bela Bartoks interpretation of a popular Romanian Dance.  I obtained the midi file from Kunsterfuge.com, where the track is titled "Schnell-Tanz", which translates as Fast Dance on a google search.  I made some minor adjustments to the midi file: separation of the left and right hands, and a "mono-synth" friendly version of the left hand portion... I also slowed the tempo.  The two sound sources that I used were the Alesis Micron and Motif XF.  I auditioned many different patches through the midi files, and chose the ones that felt best to me.  Each patch was modified to better fit the arrangement.  I made it a point to animate each voice with different live parameter tweaks while the midi file was playing.  I recorded the audio in Reaper, there was a little reverb added on a few voices, and modified the resultant mix a little in ozone 5 to get the volume to a more convenient level.  I'd like to note that someone appears to have posted the kunsderfuge file on youtube with no mention of the original file... I have no association with that individual.  Cheers :)
