His clothes were odd: shirt gone, jacket buttoned wrong, shoes tied sloppily, with no coal dust on him, as if someone had placed him there. He had strange, spaced-out burns on his neck, back, and legs, covered in a green gel that doctors could not identify. His face showed pure fear, eyes wide open, and his beard had grown only one day’s worth, though he’d been missing longer.

The official cause was a heart attack, but the coroner called it the weirdest case he’d seen. Ideas range from a health mishap or accident to wild claims like alien abduction—tied to a UFO sighting by a cop nearby—or even spy stuff like KGB involvement. It’s still unsolved.
