Lusty Lou, the single and cherry flavored Gumball is the face of the final part of Det Gode Selskab’s sampler. It will make your heart beat faster, and your cheeks turn red. All is not that meets the eye behind the initial character, which is also reflecting into the music for this closing chapter. When night falls, bring out your naughty side. Music crafted by Karl Fraunhofer & Chris Solaris, A:G, Insectoscope, Henriku, SYNK, and Rooneh & Dingehead. 

Both appearing for solo tracks already, Karl Fraunhofer & Chris Solairs join forces for their track “Area 51” leading by example from the get go. A:G delivers a rusty electro banger, “Wrong Answers Only”, mechanical movements twist and turn amongst the beeps and bleeps. In “Alien In My Garage” Insectoscope explores uncharted garage territory, nodding to the prime garage era, with a spacey modern twist. Henriku’s “Oh Four Dizzy” is a glitchy number, built upon slick drum and bass grooves. Stripping things back slightly is “Galaxy Jam” from, SYNK. A mysterious and chugging trip, intelligent and hypnotic. Closing the compilation is “Prelude & Henry Street” from Rooneh & Dingehead aka Rune Lindbæk and Robin Jackson, curiously progressing throughout with melodic highs, and moody lows.

Each of these tracks bursts with the essence of soulful house and its jazz forebears, traversing moods that are by turns wistful, playful and go-getting. R&S founder Renaat Vandepapeliere returns with the first expanded compilation in his personal RV Trax series showcasing the hypnotic sounds he plays on the dancefloor. In this fifth installment, Vandepapeliere has chosen 9 groove-laden tracks from an array of talented electronic artists representing Belgium, England, Argentina, Northern Ireland, Italy, France, and Germany.

A frustrated drummer at heart, every one of the tracks on RV Trax Vol 5 (and previous volumes) has the shared DNA of heavy percussive workouts - keeping the focus of the music on the drums. This premiere's 'noos' by VENDi is certainly no exception, showcasing its intentions early on, with a spine of breaks intertwined in a moody melody that anchor the track from start to finish.
