Man, I feel like it has been forever since I’ve put music out. Even longer because my computer crapped out on me. I was trying to get this out over two weeks ago, but here we are. 
  I love writing deep house stuff like this. Sometimes I have to remind myself to drop the catching melodies and just write something that grooves deep. Something you can feel in your bones! Had a lot of fun writing this one and hopefully you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Keep your head up, keep your heart up and boogie on! ￼

Levitation (Levitaciòn)

Distant Lives is the result of my first experiments with frequency modulation. I finally opened Ableton Operator to see how it works, and when I heard this three-overtone saw wave modulated by a 4-bit sine, I instantly fell in love with it. I randomly played some notes on my MIDI keyboard, and this surprisingly sweet melody emerged.

It reminded me of a few images I shot last winter at the Siófok pier—a red lantern coloring the shoreline and casting new light on the dusk. Aren't we all just mesmerized by the sight of great lakes and seas? Contemplating distances and unreachable goals? Are there people standing on the other side, looking in our direction with the same curiosity as us? Is there a better life waiting for us all, or is this the better life?

This is a rare case of image and sound inspiring each other in a feedback loop. I quite like this piece, and I hope you find something in it too.

My favourite season, where the climate is mild although there are sudden storms of rain and wind followed by calm and gentle breezes, where the landscapes are filled with colour and beauty and where fruits such as walnuts, chestnuts, hazelnuts, mushrooms are harvested…
I have tried to represent with music the different states that we find in this season and in my opinion, I think I have succeeded.

Wrote this back in May when the Irish government recognised Palestine as a state. Hold the trophies, we were the 142nd country to formally do it so about time!

There are so many parallels between their current struggle and Ireland's battle against oppression over the centuries. I found it quite beautiful, as a nation, we at least took the high ground on recognition with that small step against the wishes of most power corners of the world.

According to this there are 50 states still to recognize Palestine diplomatically. 47 of which are members of the UN. Within these 50 lie the countries with the most power...

'Over the years Ireland said a famous saying, Toicfaidh ar lá, it means our day will come. This saying became synonymous with Republican extremism which I in no way condone but here it's obviously in a positive light and in a way it feels like taking the words back for better use! Similarily with Allahu Akbar, the only time we here those words in most Western media circles is related to more extremism. the reality is it's just two lovely words that mean God is greater and is used by millions of Muslims worldwide in there everyday lives, peacfully. So I think it's nice to use them in a normal way here too.... Calling for help on the behalf of the Palestinians 📣 Don't mean to offend anyone... Ask Palestinians if they care about me asking their God for help for them in a song  maybe and getting abit of backup from a couple of other ones too...

I'm not a religious person. spiritual maybe, but the prayers in this song are in solidarity with the Palestinians and I know prayer for most of them is most of the hope they have! A wider awareness of their plight should eventually change that. So here's my whisper for the Palestinian people. I really hope you get the freedom you deserve 🙏🏻

Ireland played England in a football match recently. In the match... two players that could have played for either team in their careers scored for England and we lost... Ok we'll get good again soon... In historical terms there haven't been many football matches between Ireland and England ever without a fight too... We didn't fight this time

Dear Universe... Please let me watch a football match between Palestine and Israel... When that day comes we know we're heading the right direction 🧘🏻
