“SPLIT 2” emerges as the latest drop from VūMantra Records, a collaboration between Vū
and Nightmare, well known for their dark and abyssal deep productions. Within its confines,
a sonic landscape unfolds, blending gritty industrial beats with ritualistic undertones. Across
four tracks raw visceral energy pulsates, each piece imbued with its own distinct vibe. The
first track “Portale” by Nigh/T\mare sets the mood with an orchestra of merciless percussion
and faint melodies. It is followed by Vū’s “Cruda” which accelerates the tempo, playing
frenetic Arabic percussions on odd rhythms surmounted by his eerie voice echoing in the
distance. To complete the EP the 2 artists remix each other’s tracks adding darkness to
already pitch-black canvases. From haunting melodies to bone-rattling basslines, a
mind-altering journey through the depths of the underground tribal beats awaits.

Ancient Methods, founder of the Persephonic Sirens Label, has cemented his status as a steadfast presence within the electronic music scene for nearly two decades. His venture embodies an unyielding and resolute passion for otherworldly, multifaceted music, underpinned by his distinctive "pitch black techno war funk." Firmly grounded in the conviction that innovation arises from dismantling barriers, his DJ sets, live performances, and productions are a perpetual force of nonconformist renewal, devoid of ingratiation to fleeting vogues. His performances and collaborations with Regis, Orphx, and Cindytalk have taken him to stages worldwide, from ADE to Tresor.

While exploring Techno culture, he became interested in artists such as Adam X, Answer Code Request, Etap Kyle, Rhys Fulber and other representatives of Ostgun Ton and Sonic Groove labels. Although his selection comes from Deep Techno, it currently has an urban character and futuristic melancholy. His sets are dominated by an industrial vibe, the tracks are often accompanied by post-punk vocals, and all this is underpinned by a strongly energetic kick and heavy bass.

Increased Control (real name Giovanni Torricelli) is a sound designer and composer, born in
Florence and based in Berlin.

As a child, he felt a natural attraction for video games and films with dystopian plots and post-
apocalyptic scenarios. He was fascinated by sci-fi, dramatic cinema, thrillers, and dark/noir

atmospheres, drawn to the strange, undefinable feelings they evoke and the left-field
melancholic musical component that characterizes them.
Over time, he has sought ways to give shape to these sensations through audiovisual work,
exploring dramatic and dystopian soundscapes that gradually defined his sonic identity. He
experiments with sound in unconventional ways to spark creativity and shape his ideas into
tangible forms.
Exploring abandoned and decaying spaces that echo memories of his adolescence, he finds
inspiration and creates soundscapes that fuse modular, analog, and digital synthesis with
complex audio processing into immersive and personal worlds.
His attempt is to guide the listener to surrender to the passage of time, letting go to get in touch
with the deepest, most primal part of themselves, embracing every emotion and the pleasure of
facing and encountering our most primordial fears.
