파트1 앨범에서는 대금 연주자 유홍 & 전자음악가 운진, 그리고 가야금 연주자 이화영 & 앰비언트 듀오 호수의 경계없는 연주가 펼쳐집니다.
이 녹음은 서울 STUDIO Y에서 즉흥-원테이크 형식으로 진행되었고, 마스터링 엔지니어 Giuseppe Tillieci가 참여하여 음향적인 완성도를 높였습니다.
디지털 음원은 2025년 8월 31일 벌트의 밴드캠프를 통해 발매되며, LP는 12월부터 유럽과 아시아에서 발매됩니다.

With centuries of history, traditional instruments carry physical vibrations shaped by human breath and touch. In contrast, electronic music generates vibrations through inorganic principles such as electrical signals and circuits. When the subtle tremors of traditional instruments resonate with the intricate tones of electronic sounds in an improvised dialogue, performers from distinct realms expand each other’s languages, creating a new sensory experience.
The project album Ancient Moment marks the first collaboration between the Korean contemporary music ensemble WhatWhy Art and the Seoul underground electronic music collective vurt.. It is a record of a free journey where two different worlds collide and merge, breaking cultural boundaries and dismantling aesthetic hierarchies.

In Part 1 of the album, you will hear boundless performances by daegeum player Hong Yoo with electronic musician Unjin, and gayageum player Hwayoung Lee with ambient duo Hosoo.
The recording was done in an improvised one-take format at STUDIO Y in Seoul, and Giuseppe Tillieci mastering enhanced the sonic quality.
The digital release will be available on vurt.’s Bandcamp on August 31, 2025, followed by an LP release in Europe and Asia in December.

The 29th vurt podcast features a DJ set by Feral, a deep techno specialist from Rome, Italy. As one of the earliest members of Hypnus Records, Feral, who is considered to have essentially embody the spirit of deep techno, is taking a step further with his new vision, recently founded his label Aube Rouge.

Marked by his awakened sensibility to depth, Feral consistently carries a thread of spirituality throughout his work.  He has inherently embodied the spirit of deep techno, of which defines Hypnus Records, through his passion for audio engineering, hardware experimentation and fascination for percussive instruments.  Feral’s affinity for the shamanic calls of the tribal drum have led him across the world to discover and nurture his defining sound. Finding comfort in the solitude of his studio, Feral’s visions emerge in the crepusular hours of his native city, Rome. He has been active since the mid-1990s, as a member of Tokyo’s notoriously avant-garde hip-hop group called Think Tank, DJ YAZI draws inspiration from across the musical spectrum: the mentality of hip-hop, the intensity of dub and jazz, the ferocity of techno and the euphoria of house. As a DJ he moves fluidly across styles, with his sets connected by a strong focus on deep and tripped-out grooves. 이 세트는 Ab Uno (Eugenio Petrarca - Roberto Di Ciaccio)가 지난 2년 동안 런던과 베를린을 오가며 녹음한 여러 스튜디오 세션을 재구성하고 결합한 결과물로, 일체형 드론과 모듈러 멜로디 시퀀스를 혼합한 그들이 앰비언트/드론 음악에 접근하는 방식을 포괄적으로 드러내는 작품입니다. 수많은 사운드 레이어로 이루어진 이 작품은 기이한 분위기의 몰입형 내러티브를 담아내고 있으며, 청취자를 현실과 환상 사이의 사색으로 가득 찬 새로운 공간으로 안내하고 있습니다.

This material is the result of reshaping and combining several studio sessions originally recorded by Ab Uno (Eugenio Petrarca - Roberto Di Ciaccio) over the past two years between London and Berlin. It blends monolithic drones with modular melodic sequences to comprehensively reveal their approach to ambient/drone music. Comprising a variety of sound passages, the piece is an immersive narrative with an eerie atmosphere, guiding the listener through a journey full of suggestions and contemplations, carving a liminal space between reality and a hallucinatory otherness.

Jin Synth is a DJ, musician, and sound artist based in London. Her music is a unique blend of textural and experimental analogue noise elements. Jin is adept at playing synthesizers, modular setups, and various microphones for field recording. In her live performances, she aims to create an abstract, meditative atmosphere through free improvisation with her equipment. Recently, she has immersed herself in sonic art, dedicating time to building her own instruments and DIY microphones to craft distinctive sounds.

Timnah’s signature approach to earthy dance music has been tried, tested and approved by swinging hips all over Europe. Developing her style from age 17 onwards, when she started playing in squats and industrial spaces around Basel, she’s continuously making her mark with warm, reverberating techno cuts from across the spectrum. During her residencies at Hinterhof Bar and Elysia, Timnah‘s sets fluently cover (and transcend) shades of techno, experimental and ambient music, establishing her as a firm favourite amongst dancers and peers. ZUNDOKO DISCO is a DJ duo and organizing team consisting of BOW and SISINOBU. They have been organizing parties in Tohoku (north-east Japan) for 10 years and are now based in Tokyo. What started out as a simple techno B2B session has evolved into a style that is not only techno groovy, but also highly compatible with abstract hip-hop and drum’n’bass, as they incorporate music from various eras and genres. Ness is the alias of Andrea Deplano, a pioneering force in the world of deep and hypnotic techno, with a career spanning over a decade. Raised in Sardinia, with a background in sound engineering and a passion for obsessive rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes, he has honed his craft to masterful levels. His performances and productions are a journey through the depths of techno, with a focus on hypnotic rhythms and immersive textures. Over the years, he has performed at some of the world's most renowned clubs and festivals. He has also collaborated with several respected labels in the industry, showcasing his ability to seamlessly incorporate contemporary sounds in his productions. In addition to his work as a producer and DJ, he has also made significant contributions to the techno community sometimes as an event organizer more often as a label manager. In 2010, he co- founded The Gods Planet, an Italian electronic music label that quickly gained recognition for its innovative and high-quality techno releases.
Through his music and label work, Ness has become an ambassador for the hypnotic techno movement. His tracks are beloved by fans worldwide for their ability to transport the listener to otherworldly realms.

OCCA has been organizing ARCHIV for over 10 years at the sacred club, Precious Hall in Sapporo, located in the northernmost region of Japan, Hokkaido. With his own party ARCHIV at the core, he has been expanding his scope of activities from all over Japan to the rest of the world. As an entity of singularity, he aims to transform time/space/spirit into unknown realms by arranging multifaceted elements such as the spiritualism of Psychedelic Music, the storytelling nature of House Music, the sci-fi dystopian feel of Detroit Techno and the trance of Minimal Music in a three- dimensional way through his deft mixing.
His rare presence has been recognized and he has been invited to play at DJ NOBU's Future Terror, Mindgames' The Labyrinth/Balance, and in recent years, has been invited to parties in Asia, Spekki Webu's Mirror Zone 5 Years Tour in EU, System Revival and Georgia's prestigious Bassiani, his circle of resonance continues to spread out.

After 10 years of trance career and numerous achievements, YUTA switched to techno in 2015, launched Liquid Drop Groove in 2016, releasing music, podcasts, video streaming, and in 2023 started the vinyl label TGPXLDG with NESS. In addition, he has taken a wide range of approaches to maximize the label's potential, including memorable outdoor parties such as Agaitida and EDEN, the indoor festival SPECTACLE, and Bassiani Tokyo collaboration series with overseas labels. YUTA creatives LDG label showcase at VENT and other venues which is the axis of all expression, deep techno Pendulum at ENTER (formerly Contact Club), and techno/minimal mixture party Red Lightning at MITSUKI.
YUTA's main activity DJ, a resident at the well-known VENT club in Tokyo. His music style is based on techno with deep/trancy and hypnotic/dubby, sometimes with breaks and bass, sometimes tribal/acid on house, and is characterized by a psychedelic groove and cinematic flow that he creates freely. In recent years, YUTA has toured extensively Asia, and performed at Quarry Stage in Wonderfruit in Thailand, the cave festivals Equation and Retreat in Vietnam, and clubs at SAVAGE and The Observatory in Vietnam, at Zhaodai and WIGWAM in China etc. In Europe, at Gare in Porto, at aboutblank in Berlin etc, festivals such as Modem in Croatia and OZORA in Hungary. In Japan such as rural and Moment, and DJ Nobu's legendary Future Terror. And the new adventure continues in Colombia, South America.
YUTA has also provided DJ mixes for NTS Radio in UK, Monument in Norway, Illegal Alien in Mexico and more. Also making only a few tracks a year with modular master O-MA. YUTA is one of those mavericks from Tokyo to the world.

Hailing from Belgium, Border One has amassed an irrefutable reputation in his home country and beyond since the release of his first 12-inch record in 2015. Between a fascination for sound discovery through the use of his modular synthesizer and his loyalty to the classic club rhythms, Border One’s style serves as a swiss-army knife for promoters and DJ’s on an international level. 
With a self description expressing a priority to make the crowd move, his music does not fall short of its intention. Forward thinking in its conception rendered highly functional in its implementation, Border One’s music finds middle ground in an increasingly polarized musical climate for the genre; whether it be through his selection as a DJ or his technicality as a producer. At the root of Nick Lapien and Robin Koek’s Artefakt project is a shared love for melancholic, hypnotic voodoo music. Their sound is pensive with deep, rich textures; long track lengths—often six-minutes-plus—give the duo an expansive framework in which to make small changes of texture and tone, creating cerebral, balanced atmospheres that absorb and engage. “Sometimes we just take a short element, like the sound of a falling drop of water, and from this recording we extract the rhythm and use it as a starting point,” they say. “It’s a very organic way of creating new material.” 
After a period of self-reflection, the Dutch duo returned in 2019 to launch a label with a new EP. De Stijl serves as a platform for their musical explorations and those of their close friends. The imprint’s inaugural EP,  Far and Wide, a lesson in dancefloor-ready techno that prioritises mood and melancholy, preceded Monsoon, Artefakt’s second album, this time on Svreca’s mighty Semantica Records. Across eight tracks, the duo evidenced an intrinsic understanding of rhythmic structures, confirming their status as one of the most singular and emotionally evocative acts in contemporary techno. 
As a live act, Lapien and Koek have performed all across Europe, North America, and Asia, their analog-heavy set a must-see for fans of melodic and deeply emotive techno. Drawing on their shared love for collecting records, they also perform as DJs, crafting long, hypnotic narratives laced with exclusive material and records from the expensive collections, old and new. 
Having first crosses paths at university, Lapien and Koek began making music together in 2012. Lapien, whose infectious, swinging house cuts have featured on Rekids, Soul People Music, and DVS1’s Mistress, was just beginning his career as a solo artist; while Koek, who designs his own artistic systems and teaches at dBs Music Berlin, had just earned a Master of Arts from Utrecht's School of Arts, specializing in Sound Design and Composition. After releasing two EPs on the legendary Dutch imprint Delsin Records, in 2017 Koek and Lapien presented their debut album, Kinship, cementing their nuanced, atmospheric style while showcasing its breadth. It was the first big step in their ongoing pursuit to adopt techno as an art-form rather than a genre.

First coming to attention as a member of Okinawa Lifestyle duo in 2009, Bassiani/Horoom resident Gigi Jikia a.k.a HVL has become a leading voice of thriving techno movement centered around Tbilisi club scene. Since starting solo career in 2013, HVL was busy exploring more diverse range of genres and styles. His solo releases which have appeared on underground outposts like Bassiani Records, Rough House Rosie, Tabernacle Records and Organic Analogue, have testified to taste that’s also reflected in his Live performances and DJ sets.
The outstanding debut Ostati LP on Organic Analogue Records (2018), intended as a manuscript of the sound of Tbilisi, is a seductive update on the established HVL’s dynamics, centered on outboard house and techno with a noticeably understated mood.
As HVL’s reputation as a solo artist grows, so does his status as a selector and DJ. Jikia has taken his skillfully crafted Live shows and DJ sets to new heights in 2018, hitting up some of the best dancefloors in the world from Berghain and Hï Ibiza to infamous Berlin Atonal.

Electronic music composer, Live performer and 30D label owner 30drop was born and raised in Barcelona where he first fell in love with post-punk, goth and electronic music during the city’s post-Olympia heyday. At the time, Spain was bursting at the seems with new artistic and cultural energy culturally in the wake of the ‘La Onda Layetana’ cultural movement in Barcelona in the late 70s and the ‘La Movida’ movement in Madrid in the 80s. 
30drop spent the mid-90s between legendary clubs Nitsa, KGB, Moog or Syndicate (in neighboring Terrassa) and various local skate parks, where tapes of the previous nights' sets by local heroes such as Sideral or Angel Molina were played and traded. Delving deeper into techno, experimental and industrial electronics in the 2000s, he adopted the 30drop moniker in reference to the drop-frame time code used for synching 1950s US black and white TV images to sound. He eventually began making music inspired by Russian, British and American retro- futuristic science fiction of the 40s and 50s, as well as classic Detroit and Birmingham techno. 
Since 2014 he has become a staple of the European electronic music scene, playing venues such as Berghain, Tresor, Moog Club, etc. The same year he also established his own 30D records imprint as a platform for both functional and more experimental strains of dance music. 
As a producer, 30drop combines elements of industrial, bleep techno and electro with polyrhythmic melodies and evocative soundscapes, creating create music that is both functional and listenable outside of the club context. He was released five full length albums, including Soroban (2020) and Photosynthetic Zone Manifesto (2021) on Jeff Mills’ legendary Axis Records, as well as Tools For The Dimensional Step (2015) on the Detroit Underground imprint, The Time Of Cruel Miracles (2017) and Insight Into Mind And Space (2023) on his own 30D Records, where he also collaborated with Gerald Donald (as Arpanet) for the split EP Phases (2018).

Aiken is a Spanish artist born in the mid-80s, influenced by diverse sources such as Detroit techno, the Berlin sound, and music produced in the UK, among others. As a DJ, his sets cover a wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the purest forms of techno to deeper variations, as well as electro and IDM. As a producer, after releasing on several digital labels, he made his physical debut in 2011 with the EP “Mer” on Semantica Records. Since then, his releases on Non Series, KEY Vinyl, and Chronicle have been charted and supported by leading figures in the global techno scene. In 2015, he launched his own platform, Timeline, with the aim of expressing his creativity by combining different influences. Born in 1986, based in Yamagata. DJ.
He is the organizer of "WEEKENDER", a long-running party held at SANDINISTA, a venue Yamagata takes pride in. WEEKENDER invites artists from all over Japan, fostering connections and growing into a beloved local party that continues to attract party freaks from far and wide.
In 2019, he joined "QUEST"—one of Tohoku’s leading DIY open-air parties organized by AJIKI—as a co-organizer. Since then, he has expanded his activities and dedicated himself to the development and nurturing of the Tohoku scene.
His DJ sets range from dance-oriented House to Techno, to ambient and listening sets that weave in Jazz, Downtempo, and more. Known for his ability to read the room and capture the atmosphere, his thoughtful selections are widely respected. His skillful use of vinyl and sharp mixing sensibility have created countless memorable moments on dance floors across Tohoku and the Kanto region.

Starting his DJ career in New York, Junya Yamamura is now actively performing across various venues in Tokyo’s underground scene. Alongside sound engineer Ryosuke Tsuchiya, he also runs his own party series, lift. Known for his deep and refined style of techno infused with a fresh sensibility, Junya’s sets have earned recognition from Tokyo’s devoted underground clubbers, marking him as one of the new DJs leading the next generation.

2000년대 후반부터 BLNDR은 다양한 형태의 전자음악을 만들어왔다. 2010년대 중반, 그는 사운드클라우드를 통해 딥하고 최면적인 테크노 씬을 발견했다. 비슷한 감각을 지닌 음악 애호가들과의 교류와 새로운 세계에 대한 탐구는 그로 하여금 질감과 몰입적인 사운드스케이프에 깊이 빠져들게 했다. 그는 전자음악에 어쿠스틱 드럼, 악기, 그리고 나뭇가지의 부서지는 소리나 통나무가 떨어지는 소리 같은 필드 레코딩을 결합하기 시작했다.

The 85th vurt Podcast features a deep techno set by Paris-based artist BLNDR.
Since the late 2000s, BLNDR has been creating a diverse range of electronic music. It was in the mid-2010s that he discovered the deep hypnotic techno scene on Soundcloud. Connecting with like-minded music enthusiasts and exploring this new world led to a deep dive into textures and immersive soundscapes. He began blending electronic music with acoustic drums, instruments, and field recordings — from the crackle of a branch to the fall of a log.

Since his debut on Hypnus in 2014, his musical purpose has stayed consistent. Whether aiming for a relaxed, shimmering, and bright sound or something spectral and groove-focused; BLNDR  strives to bring his music into layered, profound, and introspective dimensions.

The 86th vurt podcast features a two-and-a-half-hour set by Amulador, an artist based in Porto, Portugal. This set was recorded at vurt during the vurtnight event held in September 2025.

Amulador is a moving entity. Always circumspect, he activates the mechanism and dives into the unknown. Away from the hype and from the enlightened figure that is associated to DJs, he rather focus the spotlight into the columns, delivering risky and nonconformist music, capturing the most abstract and pulsating edges of today‘s electronic music. He combines high-speed trips with different perspectives, that can be melodic and subtle or rhythmic and scathing. Deviant walks through peculiar landscapes are marked with mirages of expectation, opening doors to cinematic fantasy. Amulador makes his name through the quiet shadows, initiating a musical continuum without precedent.

1990년대 초, 일본을 강타한 새로운 사운드 - 테크노 음악은, Takaaki Itoh가 이전까지 들어보지 못했던 새로운 비트들과 함께 새로운 일본 언더그라운드 뮤직씬을 열기 시작하였다. Takaaki는 빠르게 이 새로운 사운드에 중독되기 시작하였으며, 1994년부터는 그의 고향인 북일본 지역에서 스스로 테크노 파티를 만들며 빠르게 자신의 이름을 알려나가기 시작했다. 1996년, 자신만의 사운드를 트랙으로 만들기로 결심하면서 발표한 Takaaki Itoh의 순수한 언더그라운드 테크노 음악은, 이전까지 유럽에서 들어보지 못했던 새로운 스타일의 일본 언더그라운드 테크노로 각인되기 시작하였고, 그는 곧 일본 전역과 유럽에서 큰 사랑을 받기 시작하며 가장 존경받는 일본 언더그라운드 디제이로 인식되기 시작했다. 2001년, 유럽으로 활동무대를 옮긴 Takaaki는 Berghain, Tresor와 같은 대형 테크노 클럽들과 Awakenings페스티벌 같은 무대에서 플레이하며 전 세계 프로모터들과 파티피플들의 큰 사랑을 받기 시작했다. 이후 자신의 레이블 Wols를 시작하며 한 단계 더 앞으로 나아간 Takaaki Itoh는, 현재 새로운 테크노 세대의 선두주자로서 일본과 유럽을 오가며 활발한 활동들을 보이고 있다.

Techno hit Japan hard in the early 1990s.Takaaki Itoh was quickly impressed and intrigued with this new sound. The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. 
in 1994,Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan. By providing a fantastic lineup, his parties quickly became a success.
In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, His Japanese style of techno was pure, unique and underground - nothing that had been heard before in Europe. His reputation and popularity quickly spread all over the continent. He was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ. As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, like awakenings,berghain,tresor. Promoters wanting him, party people loving him, Takaaki Itoh took the next step and started his own label Wols. Passion led to success and he became recognized as the top of the next generation of techno music.

Luigi Tozzi는 지난 몇 년간 엠비언트부터 클럽의 댄스뮤직까지 어우르는 자신만의 확고한 테크노 스타일을 만들어내며 디제이로써 자신의 이름을 천천히 그리고 확실하게 만들어나갔다. 이탈리아 로마에서 태어난 Tozzi는 몇 세대를 거치며 만들어진 이탈리아 특유의 사운드로부터 큰 영향을 받았으며, 이는 Tozzi 특유의 소용돌이 치는듯한 깊고 감정적인 사운드로 발전되었다. 그의 작품들에는 이러한 자신만의 색채가 뚜렷하게 묻어나고 있다.
Tozzi는 현대 딥테크노 씬의 핵심적인 레이블 Hypnus Records(스웨덴)를 통해 여러 장의 EP 앨범과 그의 대표적 작품이라 할 수 있는 앨범 “Deep Blue: Volume 2”(2016)를 발표하였다. 또한, 이탈리아의 저명한 프로듀서인 Dino Sabatini가 이끄는 Outis Music을 통해서는 솔로 작품들뿐만 아니라 Dino Sabatini와의 협업 작품들도 발표하였다.
자신만의 사운드에 대한 확고한 의지와 함께 깊이 고민하며 발전시킨 Tozzi의 음악적 정체성은 현재의 아티스트 Luigi Tozzi가 있게끔 만들었으며, 유럽 최고의 클럽 중 하나로 손꼽히는 Khidi (Tbilisi)에서의 레지던트 디제이 활동을 포함하여 그를 전 세계 최고의 클럽들에서 공연하게끔 이끌었다. 이러한 활동들을 통해 Tozzi는 디제이와 프로듀서로서 독창적인 자신만의 사운드를 표현하고 있으며, 또한 예술가로서의 실험을 지속하며 끊임없이 진화해 나가고 있다.

Over the last few years Luigi Tozzi has been calmly making a name for himself as one of Europe’s go-to DJs for his distinct brand of techno that draws both from ambient music as well as from the club. Raised in Rome, the DJ and Producer takes influence from the timeless italian sound, which he’s further developed with an emotional, swirling, dubby atmosphere. There’s an unmistakable texture to his productions.
While prolific, Tozzi has kept his output within a close family of labels. Swedish label Hypnus are key here, having released a number of the producer’s EPs as well as his acclaimed debut album, Deep Blue: Volume 2, in 2016. Alongside Hypnus, Tozzi has worked closely with Outis Music, releasing both solo as well as collaborative work with the label’s founder, Dino Sabatini.
Tozzi’s unswerving commitment to his sound, alongside his pensive and considered development as an artist has brought him to where he is today, with a touring schedule that’s taken him to some of the finest clubbing establishments around the world. Within this, he maintains a residency at Khidi, Tbilisi, which in recent years has emerged as one of the best clubbing destinations in Europe. It’s through this platform that he brings his unique hybrid sound as both a DJ and producer, and can evolve and experiment as an artist.

1987년 이태리의 Sardinia 섬에서 태어난 Claudio PRC는, 아방가르드와 앰비언트 음악을 적극 수용한 딥테크노를 선보이는 특별한 아티스트이다. 초기 애시드 음악의 최면적인 사운드와 덥(dub)으로부터 파생된 깊은 울림들은 그의 음악에 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 2006년부터 DJ 및 프로듀서로 활동하며 Prologue, Semantica 등 현대의 가장 저명한 딥테크노 레이블들에서 자신의 작품들을 발표해왔다. Claudio는 특히 그의 파트너인 Ness와 함께 진행해온 TGP(The Gods Planet) 프로젝트를 통해 수많은 작품들을 발표하였으며, 또한 재능있는 아티스트들의 새로운 음악들을 꾸준히 소개해 왔다. 현재에는 이탈리아 칼리아리 지역에서 활동중인 Basstation 크루의 멤버로 활동중이며, 또한 파라과이의 클럽 Ankali에서 레지던트 디제이로 활동하며 ’Volumi Dinamici’ 나잇을 정기적으로 주최하는 등, 전 세계적으로 왕성한 활동을 이어오고 있다.

Born in 1987 in Sardinia, based in Berlin, Claudio PRC is an Italian deep techno specialist who takes cues from avant-garde and ambient music as well as the abyssal echoes of early hypnotic acid and dub. He’s been active as a DJ and producer since 2006 and released his records mainly on Prologue Music and Semantica Records. Co-founder of The Gods Planet / TGP project and label, member of Basstation crew in Cagliari, from 2018 he’s resident DJ in one of Prague’s most valued clubs, Ankali, where he curates the Volumi Dinamici night.
