made in 2010 - trying to make something average seem terrible

Making music then and with life in general, I was expecting a lot of good results from not doing a whole hell of a lot, so this is a bit of a lazy track that never got finished. It isn't very enjoyable, but in these times (Nov. 2025), I think it may be in sync with how a lot of people are feeling - the main theme was: in 2007 I found a recording made by someone using John Cramer's 2003 sonic interpretation of temperature variation data from NASA's WMAP satellite to model a complete audio timeline of baryon acoustic oscillations creating a 5 hour sonic curve with a little clap at the beginning and then just a fuzzy tone, interestingly, going down in pitch until the present day, 5 hours (billions of years) later. Pretentious...moi? I sped it up to 13:48 from beginning to end and I put it in this "deep space" track. Most of it was inaudible by 20 seconds in, but i left it in anyway - so it's there, but it isn't.  And by the track's end, the song is in sync with present day's (then, 2007) radiation and with where I was at the time - trying to make art with Jonathan Goldman in his Spirit studio where half of what I was doing was pure intention and trying to transmit love through sound based on his simple equation Frequency & Intention = Healing.

Deep space

Part of a series I was working on that was all about looking deeply into things that have no apparent significance, like the cosmic hum, or the idea of searching for nothing - reflection, memory, history and nostalgia - and I don't even remember how i made it, just the image of me sitting in the kitchen with headphones on with the presence of my daughter in front of me- it is a warm place, full of love and is pleasant to return to in my mind.

On a completely different tip it reminds me of dark empty depths, things lurking;  sparkling bioluminescence; life of all kinds darting, or hiding, in a constant state of heightened awareness, feeling as deeply as possible in love or fear.

Some themes were:  darkness and light, the moon, a light in the darkness; the tides, in and out; longing - the moon once a part of earth slowly drifting away; it's pull stirring the waters to enable life, first in the ocean and then, crawling, clawing on to land; leaving everything behind but always aware of the primal call to home, waves breathing in and out - an inexplicable emotion, there, but not there, like creation; creatures in the dark with senses so extreme they fill the emptiness with beauty and meaning - the spaces in between; pray for nothing.

That's kind of where my head's at.
