COLLAPSE OF THE SUN

As the winter solstice approaches and fires are lit to banish the darkness, this piece explores the struggle between dark and light during the shortest days of the year.

An imagined journey on foot at night through the darkwood. The perilous treck back to the warmth and safety of the hall.

Yuletide Journey

Hello everybody, and welcome to the firs step of your journey into our first and conceptual album. 

Along the next songs you'll start a journey into the story of our fictional character, and her struggles with schizophrenia and all other problems associated to this disease. Out character will find support in a relationship that finally will not work out well, and we will show the evolution of her mood and feelings along this process. In this song, we want to present you her perspective and thoughts about her disease, and try to get you to connect with her feelings and her way of experience the world. 

There are still some tracks left, for the completion of the album, but we are working on them and we hope to be able to add the final demo songs soon!

1) SKY-FALL, LYRICS:

When I was a child the world was all magic, 
I didn't need to sleep to live in a dream, 
since I had no time to meet the darkness, 
my mind couldn’t give me chills. 
 .
But as I grew up everything got harder, 
and my wonderland deeply sunk in the mud, 
all that visions that before seemed like angels, 
started to lose their warmth. 
 . 
And those voices that were sleeping, 
now started to wake up. 
 .
They tell me things that I don't want to listen, 
they remind me everything I mess up, 
they decide for me about what's real and, 
don't let me get what's right. 
 .
The worst is that for others this is madness, 
they are too afraid of me for even talk, 
they don't realize that leaving me lonely 
takes me more off the ground. 
 .
And those voices that were sleeping, 
now started to wake up. 
My life for a bit of silence, 
that I know will never come.

Schizophrenia is a greatly misunderstood mental disease, highly associated with chronic depression and suicide, if not properly treated.  It causes high levels of confusion and frustration in the patients, that, if untreated, suffer different degree of delusions (depending on the severity of the disease). This delusions make the daily life really challenging, when the patients are suffering a crisis, since it is difficult for them to discern the reality around them, from their delusions, and they enter in a high risk of social exclusion and isolation, that makes they symptoms prone to become even more severe, the more they get disconnected from the "normal" life.
