my long term boyfriend and I broke up a day before a big fashion production I had. I stayed up crying all night knowing I needed to be up at the crack of dawn. Eventually I fell asleep and when I woke up my eyes were so puffy from crying I could barely see or open them. I could not believe I could make the day happen. Suddenly this song came through and once I had it all written down, a burden was lifted and I went to one of the best photo sessions I ever had.

Your Heart

I wrote this song when my soul had no air to breathe. It was a strange day, full of questions with no answers. I was exhausted but couldn’t sleep and just wanted to escape to somewhere alone.

Then my friend called and asked how I felt. I couldn’t find the words, and she told me to write. So I did, and this song came out. It's my daily reminder of resilience and the power of my expression.
