For its 6th release, Berlin-based Klangkuenstler returns to his Outworld imprint with the Weltschmerz EP – an ode to a world in turmoil, prophesying that there's light at the end of a pitch-black tunnel. For there's a fire of passion burning brightly within the depth of these two monstrous new tracks. Make no mistake, this is brutal, floor-shaking techno, yet, despite the sheer force, Klangkuenstler captures the emotional essence of our Zeitgeist, shape-shifting moods between raging anger, deep-blue melancholia and glimpses of hope.
The EP's title-track 'Weltschmerz' kicks off mercilessly at the light-speed-tempo Klangkuenstler has become synonymous with. As a muscular kick thuds below slashing hats and rust-covered atmospherics, a venomous lead snakes through this airtight framework, unfolding into a moment of unadulterated ecstasy. 'Untergang', meanwhile, bursts of pure energy in tired times, thundering violently towards a bittersweet peak of warehouse-sized euphoria. To put it in a nutshell: Klangkuenstler rings in the end and we're going out with a bang.
Though cooked-up for carnage, it's Klangkuenslter's intuition for existentialist contrasts that let the Weltschmerz EP transcend its design purpose to grow into something altogether bigger – touching body, mind and soul alike. The outside world may have ground to halt, but Outworld continues to move.

William ha lanzado recientemente su tercer álbum de larga duración "Tenebris In Lux" a través de su propio sello Operation Qual Records. Éste álbum de nueve pistas fue escrito durante el primer bloqueo de COVID-19 que inspiró su tono primordial y rítmico y exploró un enfoque experimental más esotérico en comparación con lanzamientos anteriores, que recuerda a un disco temprano de Coil. Sin embargo, el lado B tiene algunas pistas industriales que son fieles al enfoque feroz y aplastante de William hacia la pista de baile.

"Descargas sépticas de enfermedades cibernéticas se filtran por cada orificio. Dando la bienvenida a un invierno nuclear postapocalíptico. Con el terror y el caos inquietante llega la era digital condenada a ser transformada digitalmente. Llegan los híbridos, los humanos mutados y el agotamiento de la materia orgánica".

William recently has released his third full length album “Tenebris In Lux” through his own label Operation Qual Records. This nine track album was written during the first COVID-19 lockdown wich inspired its primal and rhythmic toned and explored a more esoteric experimental approach in comparison to previous releases, reminiscent of an early Coil record. However, the B side has some industrial tracks that stat true to William’s ferocious and crushing approach to the dancefloor.

We've had a few people ask me what the original version of Asuka is (not) Dead sounded like before Cardinal Noire did that amazing remix of it. So.. Here ya go!!

Incidentally (in case it wasn't obvious by the art we used) the song is inspired by the character Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The series is one of Arvin's favorites. We kind of wrote it from her point of view- the dichotomy of appearing overly confident on the outside, but being a self loathing mess on the inside.
