Sometimes the best collaborations start with a message in a Discord thread. That’s how I (Very Yes) linked up with vocalist David Schocke—swapping mixes, trading voice memos, and realizing we both orbit the same sonic universe. What started as internet chatter quickly sparked a creative flow, and from that came “What Else.”
This track dives into the headspace of late-night vulnerability—the kind that hits when you’re lying in your own bed, chasing a high that’s already fading. Built on my production—lush textures, smooth percussion, and a driving pulse—and elevated by David’s emotive vocal delivery, “What Else” captures the tension between desire and disconnection. The lyrics float between longing and confusion, anchored by a repeating mantra: what else do I do?
It’s intimate, sultry, and a little haunting—perfect for twilight drives, lonely moments, or sorting through what’s real and what’s just memory.
“What Else” is more than a love song—it’s a mood. And it’s what happens when two artists find each other through the noise and decide to make something real.
