I started to write my own tunes almost from the time I sat down and seriously tried to play the guitar. I was around 16. My brother was a big influence as far as that goes. He was very into writing his own songs. And would encourage me, tell me when I'd wrote a good song and eventually helped me get a Tascam 4-track and Dr Rhythm Dr 5 Drum Machine/Synth.

Musically my teenage years were fueled by metal(a lot of Iron Maiden, Ac/Dc, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Kreator, and Coroner) 
I got burnt out on metal after a while - too noisy and harsh - which was my initial impression of metal. I remember thinking "God! I wish my brother would turn that shit off!" at very regular and increasing intervals and started to look for other forms of music such as -

- Punk Rock (a little, mainly The Misfits, The Sex Pistols & The Dead Kennedies) 
- 60and 70s bands (Lots of Doors, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin) 
- Grunge era(A truckload of Pearl Jam, STP, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Tool, NIN and Faith No More). 

After Grunge happened I knew I wanted to be a songwriter. Hell I wanted to be a Rock Star. Well that hasn't happened(yet). 

I am primarily a guitarist and song writer. I muck about with Keyboards and Synths and sometimes try to sing. As well as being into Photography.(How can I not be? Everyone is)
