Kate Simko reimagines the timeless 1993 House anthem ‘House For All’ by Blunted Dummies on Definitive Recordings, infusing it with her Chicago-influenced sound. Known for her unique blend of electronic and live instruments with Classical, Jazz, and House influences, Simko infuses the original’s stripped-back, euphoric essence and anthemic vocal chant with a pulsing electronic edge. With breaksy overlays, a dynamic House beat, and a hypnotic visceral breakdown synth line inspired by Jamie xx, she delivers a modern twist on the beloved classic, keeping its core message intact through both sound and lyrics.

Following the hypnotic pulse of his acclaimed album El Hijo del Maiz, released through Lumière Noire Records, which introduced the original version of "Bo Ni Ke," Mexican DJ/producer Iñigo Vontier returns with Bo Ni Ke Remixes, an EP that reimagines one of his most captivating tracks. Released through the boundary-pushing Mexican imprint Duro Label, this collection breathes new life into "Bo Ni Ke" with four dynamic reinterpretations from Musumeci, Moisees and two new version from Vontier.  

Leading the charge is a mesmerizing remix by Italian Musumeci, who infuse the track with their signature blend of deep, cosmic grooves and ethereal textures, taking "Bo Ni Ke" on an acid journey. Moisees, co-founder of Duro Label, delivers a remix that amplifies the track's hypnotic essence, layering infectious rhythms with a raw, underground energy that resonates on dancefloors. Rounding out the EP, Iñigo Vontier himself presents his "Unwanted" Remix, showcasing his evolving sound with a darker, more psychedelic twist that delves deeper into his experimental roots. 

Closing the EP is the Ketamine Version, a stripped-down, hallucinatory rendition that deconstructs the original into its most primal sonic elements. This version explores the track's core rhythmic structure, distorting and reshaping it into a swirling, immersive soundscape, designed for late-night introspection and altered states of consciousness. 

Bo Ni Ke Remixes stands as a testament to Iñigo Vontier's fearless approach to electronic music, blending cultural influences with forward-thinking production. Each remix offers a unique perspective while honoring the original's mystique, solidifying "Bo Ni Ke" as a track that transcends boundaries and continues to evolve. A label that DJs turned to time and time again for the fantastic and consistently high quality vibe it created on the dancefloor, Steve Bug‘s infamous Dessous imprint continued with its classics series.
After three heavily supported vinyl releases celebrating some of the most classic cuts from the Dessous back catalogue, remixed by some of the era‘s most sought-after artists, this special digital-only compilation was compiled so that all 12 remixes (including two hot new interpretations) were available in all their crisp and clean glory.

A real who‘s who at the forefront of the modern house world at the time, Steve Bug, Kevin Yost, Vincenzo, Phonique, Gruber & Nurnberg, Manuel Tur, Langenberg, Two Armadillos, Ripperton, Ryo Murakami, and new Dessous signing Claire Ripley all provided interpretations here, remixing tracks picked from across the spectrum in a look back at over 10 years of label history.

This heavyweight remixes package was headed off by Steve Bug‘s new version of The Discowboys‘ “At Midnight,” a smooth modern house gem in the making. Other standout pieces of stereo love included the two extra special Kevin Yost versions of Phonique‘s “Teenage Love”; the dub having featured on the vinyl release, showing off his classy world-renowned production skills.

There were so many important tracks to mention, with yet more priceless cuts coming courtesy of Manuel Tur, with his beautiful mini-epic treatment of D’Julz’s “Sulo,” and Ripperton on top form with a unique and equally magical remix of Phonique’s “For The Time Being,” featuring the vocal talents of Erlend Øye.

Just as was the case in the original tracks, which stood the test of time, there was depth, drama and dimension to be found amongst these superb versions. Here’s to Dessous, the classics, and the future classics!
